Added you as friend, haven't seen a way to show other people on server yet.

Edit:
lol was just finishing off bike stuff before logging off, didn't get enough for a controller first run through. Didn't realize it was you running around there, thought you were a bugged mob that wouldn't take damage, gave me a jolt. I feel like fucking Hudson now.

Yeah that shit always makes me swing. Got into a few pop fights because I thought a player was an npc. Invited you to group but figured you didn't see it.

I walked into one of the first large PoI in the gap, and got 1 rounded by a shielded stabby, and some dude that I swear had a minigun, or something 2 handed. I emptied a clip into him, didn't die. I haven't played since then lol. I was actually just there to get parts to upgrade my weapon ect, guess I'll stick to the smaller PoI for now.

Melee shit seems a bit OP, I can't react at all once they start slashing you, even using a blade, I can't ever seem to break out of it except a rare dash. Really need to switch over to blade, I like the combat style, the shielded melee mobs are easy when you have a blade ready to go. Training Blademaster > BG blade skills be best bet, or other way around? I need to figure where these trainers are, don't even known where the trooper one for advanced skills is.

All the advanced trainers are in Harko and Arakeen. Mentat and trooper advanced in Arakeen, BG and Blade in Harko. If you were a fan of Deep Space 9, you will immediately recognize the VA for the Mentat trainer

As for enemies, melee is probably the best pve option. Later enemies use shields and shield breaking ranged options are more limited early game. Melee NPCs are easy as a melee - just right click parry, they get stunned, slow blade stab them. If they’re hitting you, you can’t parry - just dash back and attempt to parry the next swing. Knee charge is an excellent gap closer and stun combined with good damage. Blademaster is most value early on for melee, as they have stamina boosting passives and perks. BG has a good technique called instability with gives you a bonus 20% slow blade damage at rank 3 if the enemy is staggered/stunned (which is most of the time vs shielded enemies)

Minigun guys early on, just stun slow stab then run away behind cover until cooldown on stun.

Sounds good. I should be on throughout week.

Want me to start a guild, or whatever? I was going to go Hark, but IDC. The chat sucks in this game, I'm not even sure if I'm typing in "global" chat, or if there is a way to see others location on map, would a guild make this better, I assume the chat channel.

More the merrier, play how however you want. I posted server info.

I made a guild so I could get the lansraad stuff this week. You should have an invite in your social tab. Went atreides since they dominate the DD. Also gave you access to my bases so you can use them. Yeah I don't know if chat works. Send you stuff but never replied.

Btw make sure your bases are powered and your base console is well protected - players have figured out how to use NPCs to destroy unpowered consoles, which allows them to loot the base

Only a risk for unpowered bases reachable by NPCs

Can confirm, did this on two abandoned bases that had premier locations.

Devs have officially labeled this as an exploit and it is slated to be fixed, so use at own risk. Not sure if they’ll actually punish anyone, especially if the base has been legitimately rotting for weeks

Aiming to play this a bit tonite.

I never did much of the faction quest, can I just go back to the first station and grab Atredies one off the board? Already abandoned the Hark one.

Hows this sandworm thing work, am I relatively safe going A to B on bike, long as I just keep going? It's more of a threat for harvesting ect later on? I see them pop out once in awhile in the distance, but I'm usually to safe ground by then. Just wondering if I can zip around and explore kinda safe. I assume the ones you see zipping around are just an effect, as I've had them zoom under me when I'm crossing, and they just keep going.

I need new gear bad, I'll have to work on that.

Yeah I was typing shit too, dunno if this is a game bug or a server bug, checking now.

Edit: I see complaints of it happening randomly for past 2 months on public and private servers, but no solutions, or explanation. No idea.

I'll unplug it and plug it back in, that's a neat trick. I'll e-mail support, dunno if that will help.

Otherwise we can just use some unused channel on FoH discord, like Pantheon, and overlay it, or another screen. Could always ask for a Dune channel there if some of us playing.

Sandworms usually lurk under the sand. If you have music on, there is a musical queue for lurking sandworms - it's kind of like a pseudo Jaws theme. Once they breach, the worm detector on the bottom of your screen will turn red and be really active - That also means get the fuck off the sand. Once the worm finishes its breach animation, it will resubmerge and immediately target players/vehicles nearby. You can't outrun a worm on a bike if it is aggro on you and you stay on open sand - you can only get to solid ground. You'll know the worm is about to eat you when you camera starts to pan way the fuck out, at which point you've got less than 5 seconds or so before it swallows you

This base was about a day from having the exterior walls collapse. If they banned me for this, I'd be fairly annoyed.

They need a mechanic where if a base has sat completely idle for a 21-30 days, you can claim the subfief, especially if taxes haven't been paid.
