Upgrading your weapons to graded versions and unlocking the specialization trees makes a big difference in terms of damage. Once you can start dropping trash mobs in a few hits, it makes those "locked in a room with adds" situations much easier to deal with.

I was not prepared for the size of the carrier. That's like small Empyrion capship size. I had to use one of those staking things to make a ginormous garage.

When I had to move servers, I made a relatively compact base and did this as my carrier/crawler hanger. Lets me fly the carrier with the crawler still attached into it, then lower the crawler and then park the carrier. Don't have the crawler in it atm in this shot

Also had enough room to put all my water tanks along the edge, as well as a bunch of storage crates

28 corpses in the carrier container and it's like an eighth of the capacity haha. I had a moment of panic filling it up when I saw a storm coming. No warning from the bitching weather girl at all. I managed to dodge it but it was close.

I'm gonna steal that build idea. Looks super useful.

It's hard to see in the photo, but under where the carrier is parked, I also put some of those super narrow ( shaped floor pieces - doesn't get in the way of the sandcrawler but gives you a tiny bit more space for the carrier legs to land on.

Yeah I'd set something similar like that up as part of our retail base before the server moves as a launching point to be able to grab and go to build out a weekly DD base, but then we never did DD again. Ended up just using it to go and loot decaying bases instead of a bunch of trips in an assault orni.

I wish they came out with that new map for the summer. I have so much materials I dont even know what to do. I still do my five dailies but that's only like 30 minutes to complete. Sometimes I fly out and mine spice but I have 50k spice already lol.

I can't imagine doing all this stuff I've been doing while dealing with asshats too. The only problem I have is the long fly out to the fields, and not being able to carry much.

Make a carrier storage container when you can. Helps a ton traveling back and forth.

If you have the regis spice container, it holds 75k sand, which works out to around 11k volume. With that, I find it easier to fly back to Hagga rather than using the carrier container because you can't fit 2 loads into the container

But if you have the regular spice container, I think you can fit about 2 loads into the carrier container, so having the transfer base in DD makes a bit more sense since you can save some time and transfer the load and then fly back out to the field again

We'd have a carrier base closer to the fields just before the PVP areas, and a processing base back in the A row. Never really got to enjoy the new containers w/ the DD, has to make a lot of that a breeze. The upgraded capacity of the assault carriers was already a godsend.

And by we I mean me, since I was the only one who ran a carrier and crawler in the DD w/ my group, did it solo a few times and got enough that we're still awash in spice (not as much as some here, but plenty to do whatever we've wanted in the little time we've played since).

The 4 of us are mostly in maintenance mode these days, but in a couple months once our schedules die down and more content releases I think there will be more of an effort to do more in retail again, while a few of us tinker here and there with my game server tenant.

Moving water sucks. Are there any good tricks for that? Seems like you could make a big ass water tank like farmers have for spraying.

Supposedly with the ice cap patch, they're going to add some new water related stuff

Unfortunately, you're stuck with literjons. One thing that helps: the overland testing stations sometimes drop MK6 literjons from the large chests. They're typically damaged, but they hold 20k water per container. Saves you from having to craft a bunch of literjons if you aren't awash in spice and plastinium ingots

Other than that, make a small water tank (the copper ingot one) near the entrance where you enter the base you're moving water from and water to. It feeds into the overall circuit and just speeds things up by removing some of the walk to your real water tanks as you fill and dump water. You can just delete them after you're done if you want.

Ya, I don’t do much in DD now. I’ll run a few testing stations and lost caves to maybe get some uniques like the mk6 Holtzman shield and kynes cutray, but materials wise I’m all set. Otherwise I do my dailies and maybe run some hard mode overland dungeons in the hopes I get something good

On that note, this weekend is double dungeon loot, so probably the best time to try to get really rare shit like g5 perforators or Regis triple shot rifles and good augments
