Personally, I would avoid playing an online required MP Fromsoft game on PC. They do almost less than zero about cheaters and hackers.

Reviews of this seem to be all over the place, zero consensus. It lacking replay value and being over fairly soon are actually positives at this point.

I don't see how it could lack replay value if it's just a bunch of quick replayable boss fights.

If I could just pick random bosses to fight in ER that would be a lot more fun than slogging through a NG+.

They need to make an elden ring or souls version of Mike Tyson punch out.

Nightreign would be more appealing if it had more bosses from across the Fromsoft spectrum.

It isn't just quick boss fights though, it's collecting stuff on the way to them (seems to not go beyond Limveld, which is like an alternate Limgrave). Each of the 8 levels is like a 40 minute endeavor if everything goes well. Which means wiping out late in a level will cost you time. Which is how you get anywhere from 8 hours to 20 hours on "time to beat"

Supposedly 2 more characters are getting added and 2-4 more levels. Probably by the end of the year if I had to guess. Not really a big deal, kind of comparable to the Mario Kart 8 DLC.

I played long enough to realize this isn't for me. On the other hand, my kid, says it is the greatest rogue-like game ever. He is bias though, he has 1500 hours into ER. Which is insane when you think about his allotted PC time per week and how long ER has been out. Basically he has been using 90% his screen time to play ER the past 3 years.
