Yea only left and right will cycle locked enemies which threw me off initially, but once you get used to it it's not so bad.

I remain convinced the recluse is a troll pick. There's only like 2-3 viable spells in the entire game and if you don't see them you suck, he stats are so low she gets oneshot by basically every boss, and her mana regain mechanic has animations that take 35 years to complete and the result is....sometimes as good as normal spell cast!

New patch with some bug fixes. A couple buffs:

Single Player Mode-exclusive adjustments

  • The effect "Automatic Revival Upon Defeat", which allows revival once per night boss battle, has been added to solo expeditions.
  • The amount of runes gained has been increased for solo expeditions.

General balance adjustments

  • Increased the number of high-rarity Relics that can be obtained as a reward when reaching Day 3 during Expeditions.
  • Increased the probability of obtaining high-rarity Relics from Scenic Flat stones purchased at the Small Jar Bazaar.

Remembrance matchmaking remains entirely fucked.

250k people online and they've managed to bifurcate their player base so many times over you actually cannot get a game to fire if you want to do any of the character quests. I cannot imagine what's gonna happen in a few weeks when it's down to 20k online.

Classic fucking Japan.

I played a little Recluse tonight, and she's pretty fun. It might be Fromsoft's best mage class ever. She's really well designed. I wish they would add like 5 more minutes to a day. The rushing part for me isn't fun. I like to explore.

In the post announcing they sold 3.5m copies already, they mentionned future plans, notably a DLC later this year, duos instead of just solo/trio like currently(not sure why that wasn't a release thing to begin with, wouldn't have been too hard to just scale the hp like they did for solo but well) and some "enhanced" boss fights, whatever that means. Anyway seems they will actually work on this, I wonder if they'll add different game modes. I think a non-timed mode could be interesting for people who just want to play at their own pace(with a xp cap per night kind of thing so it's not like you'll level like crazy) and maybe a boss rush with randomized gear and upgrades between them kind of thing(basically removing the exploration bit). And obviously I assume they'll work on unfucking their queues with the questlines stuff.

carry as many garbo items to enjoy their item buffs

if you suck just play the bow guy

Lack of comms with rando teammates is the real issue. Folks who multi-ping evergaols without a key to open it or kick ass on day one then want to go beat their head against the center castle right away on day two need a verbal smack down.

I had a few groups that kicked ass on day one and then fell apart on day two (either going and beating their heads against the pot-throwing castle, or just wandering around aimlessly).

and if you play archer and have those aoe that procs on walking. Holding LB puts you zoom mode and somehow mad procs all your walking aoe. zoom mode also allow you to manually target weak spots.

For guardian holding up a shield and pressing dash allows you to tank without wiping all you stamina when blocking against bosses.

I use archer, guardian, mage ultimate mostly to one shot revive team mates. its shocking to see mid game guardians spamming ultimate on trash. Holding left trigger after guardian lands provides a 5sec invulnerability.

So many secrets!

The curative bolus items buff you base resistance to their ailment, meaning you get a larger bar to fill to get that ailment.

That's kind of huge. I always thought it just removed build up. Wonder if that's a bug

Well it's huge for madness and frost really. Maybe poison for scorpion but I never had issues with that fight.

Fairly sure that's how all affliction resists work in all FromSoft games. Increasing your resistance just makes the bar bigger, don't think it affects the rate at which you will gain "points" of it.

Yeah the Guardian's ultimate was superb for reviving people on the big boss, especially if the bodies were close together.

Once corpses have 3 bars, it's such a PITA to get them revived that the fight's probably out the window by then anyway. Guardian's ultimate knocks out all 3 bars instantly.
