I don't know why the argument gets simplified down to cartoony vs realistic. You can have "stylized" models that aren't Disney cartoons.

A few pages back, someone cross posted something from mmorpg.com, from someone who got to ask some questions of the devs at PAX. Assuming it's accurate, we have confirmation that classes will be able to acquire more than the four initial secondary abilities that the class starts with. It also sounds like they're backpedaling from the "swap classes whenever" thing, and are now saying they don't know how they'll handle class swapping.
Other than that, yeah, it's all dark elves and dwarves.
You guys are great. Thanks for the entertainment. Looking forward to the reactions from whatever is shown today.

Art really is the least of my worries. I want to see what direction they take this game in. It's almost like they are not sure yet and are taking the temperature of folks to see what direction to slide the scale in. I obviously want it to be fun and engaging right away. I'm sure we all do... But they need to manage to get the added danger and risk/reward right. Without it the game just won't have that value to keep playing.
So is it confirmed they are showing something new tonight, or will it be the same as last time? Which was basically the same info given at SOE Live.
I've stopped reading much about it, they discuss death penalties or any info on in game mechanics yet?

No doubt.. If the game play is good I'll cast nukes as Donald fucking Duck.
FYI.. confirmed the DE model was trashed after reboot. No chance to see anything like that I guess. wont fit the style they are going for.
btw.. This game would really benefit from rare clickies.. Just what we know of the combat/armor stuff.. there could be some seriously cool clickies in this game if they brainstormed.
I submittedmy photoshop improvements to Domino, Omeed and Rosie. Let's see if I can inspire someone.
I think there were dark half elves. I seem to remember Inny being a deity choice for them, but they started in Freeport since Dark Elves are racists.

If you look at females elves next to old DE elf male in tad10s post on page 998 the three are clearly related in art style. The female high elf is also clearly in same art style as female human model shown in previews of game footage.
The new DE male art they showed yesterday is not even consistent with the rest of EQN art both in concept and style or even with the limited amount of in game footage they have already shown.
What it is though is a blatant ripoff of other peoples IP.
