Finally able to get back to reading the boards.
-The repetitive story lore no one cares about because ppl forget about it within the next zone if not sooner
-Constant gear replacement because they think "no drop" is the best implementation crap since nipples on tits but really its the worst idea known to MMO
-The "Hey guys wait for me to lvl up to group with you" crap because you/they missed a day or two. Inviting new members to a guild wont have to wait for you to lvl up to join them.
It's easy to confuse but they didn't replace exp lvling, shocking I know but many aren't understanding this point. Ppl are still hung up on that. The Tier system in place would be no different than EQ AA or Rift Planar unlocks. Those games still have exp lvling and that type of system so what was replaced if you are claiming it was?
Darkfall doesn't have lvls and its a great game, main thing I hate about it is the PVP aspect which it is and very much hardcore. You want HC, go play it. Let me know when you come crying back after losing your shit for the 10th time! Game can make you go more paranoid than Eve and I thought nothing could top that.
As for Hardcore comments, with a new game, its unknown and waiting to see what happens. I know that if you have to look for something and they claim is a 1 shot chance to find it , do it or get it due to the idea that things dont respawn and you wont be able to camp it. This isn't something that falls into the realm of casual or easy in my book.
May be wrong on this but, I highly doubt many that post or lurk have gone so "HC" they tell the player made gaming sites that post cheats, hints, guides on how do, where is and what to do to F-off and resist the urge to look up anything for the sake of not wanting spoilers and going it......ALONE! RARRR....
I tend to think that some of this rage is due in part that these sites will have a hard time tracking details on the mentioned above along with no easy way to show their Epeen number when inspecting them.

I think you and I are basically on the same page and agreement with lvling. Totally agree that the lvl game was never needed. The old argument I have stated in the past, what happens 3 months after expansion release when majority players hit max lvl and now grinding gear. What was the point of lvls?

I do not see that game in any respect Hardcore nor barely an MMO in the respect of a game but its kicking ass over all the other games! I have stated before that Landmark seems to have some Second Life aspects to it in many ways. If they were to base off something for a goal, that looks to be a good mark to strive for!
They didn't replace, only removed exp gain lvling. Everything else has been there in other games along with exp lvling. They just removed the epeen mindless boring BS that exp lvling creates.Because what you don't like is the grind part not the exp part. What they will do is get rid of the exp and shift the grind part to simply being non exp based. You will still have to grind its just you will be very restricted in choices because you will only advance by doing the one or two thing that moves your character forward instead of a exp based system that allows you to advance by gaining generic game exp from many different sources.

This!So I guess I missed that part in all of the MMORPGs that came before where being max level meant guaranteed competence in raiding, PvP, etc. I agree that players should have to work for certain aspects of the game (in an MMORPG, at least), but a sheer power differential between level 1 and max level is not necessary. It facilitates abandonment of content among other issues.

So is everyone willfully ignoring Second Life? Correct me if I am wrong but it looks to have topped all the other games and was on a constant climbing streak for a long while!
