There are a lot of truebox people who wont play on non truebox and a lot of people who wont play on truebox. I just think that relaxed 3 clients to start is the best compromise that will attract the most players.

Agreed. I also think 6 clients is better than unrestricted, even if 3 is a better compromise.

Enforcement is also a problem, of course.

Key is macroquest will be blocked on any server with turbox enabled, even relaxed truebox. While any server without truebox macroquest is not blocked and free to use.

I've never used Macroquest before. Is it truly blocked on Truebox-enabled servers, or just "blocked" in that you have to try a bit harder to use it?

There are ways around it but it still keeps a good chunk of people from using it. There is a campaign right now from live server mq2 users trying to push for the no truebox option so they can freely play and use it on the new server.

Give me a Kunark start server where you have to roll Iksar and the server doesn't advance until at least ten people per class are in full Iksar class quest armor and maxed out Iksar class weapon.

Was it Sleeper/Combine that tracked progress? People liked that. Add a scavenger hunt mechanic where by points are awarded to each guild based on a variety of tasks. First rare hunter achievement for each zone, first raid kills, first epics, first quest armor set completions, all kinds of shit weighted based on difficulty. You've already got an achievement system baked in to the game. At the end of each expansion the guilds with the most points get little prizes with an occasional unique cosmetic like a title for doing the most Velious shit.

Basically do a better job with ideas you already tried.

I think if people knew what no truebox would actually entail 90% of them would vote for relaxed truebox. The amount of warp/botting that would happen on a non-truebox TLP would basically remove open world from existence. I know this forum has some Rizlona Glazers but the last time they did no true box it basically turned into botters warp killing raid bosses and then mass reporting each other.

Example about not understanding what removing truebox means.

If it's going to kill the open world make sure to vote in some Legacy characters so you can do multiple instance nights.

The secret to rizlonas success was as much the existence of aradune as it was the lack of truebox. Rizlona would have probably gone terribly if it was the only server and a ton of people went there who werent really interested in the concept. I think a riz 2.0 will only work if theres a separate server for the masses. And in return, that server and its pop can enjoy the people who wanna do like 6box tuco shit that they seem to hate for some reason NOT going to there. Everyone can be happy.
