Not only was it not in the FIRST FAQ that they released... but in the 2nd FAQ that was WEEKS later, they accidentally put "2 accounts per PC" and they had to edit it to say "2 accounts per person, 1 account per PC"The 2 box thing was known since the start?
Weird thinking though as Vaniki was a failure population wise. Aradune was a mixed bag. its population average ranks it lower than most other similar tlps. They probably think the only reason tormax bombed was because of teek, and teek just entered no-truebox, so they're trying out the 2 box limit and vaniki stuff and other gimmicks hoping this one will hit.
I've continued trying to make something out of the resource finder bonuses on test and haven't had any luck. You need a bonus you care about to appear in a zone you care about at a level range you care about. When the stars align it's more of a pleasant surprise than a feature. I'm skeptical being able to crowd source bonuses is going to help much but maybe? Once AAs unlock bonus exp rolls in premier zones are going to be nice but at the same time people may funnel to such a degree that each pick fills to the brim with assholes. Squeezing bonus loot out of raid zones is going to be tough. It's open world only so you need things you want to kill to be up or spawn while the right bonus is active.
They seem to have not realized that non-free trade servers are never going to be popular ever again. You can make whatever shithole rulesets you want, but without free trade ain't noone going to put the hours in.Weird thinking though as Vaniki was a failure population wise. Its like breeding a asian and a mexican thinking their offspring will be tall.
There are certain things that can lower or raise the population for servers for sure. FV loot is top of the list, bonus loot is as well. However things that lower population are things like vaniki rules, 2 box limit. If these things did not exist on the server the population would be higher. They seem to have not realized that non-free trade servers are never going to be popular ever again. Lmao. I wonder which person went crying in the devs DMs to provoke this.

They should just wholesale steal everything THJ has done if they want to take all the monies. That is hands down the best ruleset I have ever seen, and it is just a blast to play. Current xpac full DZs eliminates antosocial bullshittery by making camps impossible to monopolize in the first place. Attunable everything, with a compelling reason to equip it and take it out of the economy forever. There are certain things that can lower or raise the population for servers for sure. I think most people accept they cant do FV loot servers every year but they certainly should not hurt the yearly server with failed server ideas.
Not sure if this has been posted, but dude goes behind the scenes at current Daybreak Studios.
There's a wall with all the original Larry Elmore EQ art paintings. Also an art guy who has been there apparently since EQ1 launch and current exec producer of EQ1 and EQ2.

People already paypal'd bis before free trade. You buy loot rights which are advertised in general chat at the same primetime raids every week or you buy a character. Free trade is immensely beneficial to the casual player who can now trade loot to his characters and accounts, or sell last expansions items to always have enough krono to play for free.Free trade loot is no doubt very popular but there is definitely a significant minority that do not like it.
It's about as pay 2 win as EQ can get and it takes away a lot of the sense of accomplishment from having the best gear. Literally anyone with a credit card or Paypal can be fully bis every expac, and it encourages a very anti social meta of making a 6 box group and farming the groupable raid mob each expac by yourself. Meanwhile many 1 or 2 boxers that aren't willing to do 6 subs and buy 6 computers (even cheap refurbished ones) can't partake and feel excluded.
It's a cool ruleset if you can look past all that but humans gonna human and have different opinions.
Ask anyone who sells loot rights, FV is a million times better lol. If you sell loot rights you need to either have your buyers online or you need to do content in prime time to have the most amount of potential buyers online. Then you got the massive pain in the rear of getting the krono from the person, then getting them into the zone then getting them to the corpse. Countless times having the corpse poof 10 seconds before they get there.People already paypal'd bis before free trade. Its just one of those situations where the remedy is just as cumbersome as the problem itself in most cases.Ask anyone who sells loot rights, FV is a million times better lol. But FV loot can be a negative if you cater to whales. On non FV server whales will buy out entire runs of raid zones and will pay a premium to have you logging them in to get the items they want they pre paid for.
