I enjoyed it for a while, but with no good guild options for my play time and the level 50 cap I eventually lost interest and dusted off my Teek characters and am happy there.
All they had to do was not limit people to below 55 for months and it could have been successful. 55 Would have provided enough extra challenge without making it tedious and encouraging bind rushing.
The hotzones are a great idea but could have been implemented a bit better, too many repeats or useless zones getting bonuses.
Character based lockouts are great and should probably be the norm going forward.
Another swing and a miss from Daybreak.

Classic enemy models are normally just in a different folder that still in the everquest directory you can see this with old zones such as Lavastorm and Commonlands I'd assume the same goes for enemy models.
Combining expansions these are literal common sense things like what dumb fuck was like Yeah let's have a month of LoY after PoP because that will sustain people. LoY is a filler expansion that adds leveling zones and the best race of all.
Bottlenecks fixed? They don't do shit about bots so you're instead bottlenecked by bots woo.

The changes that matter never will, they will never enforce their own rules and that's a change that could actually matter, how about eliminating botters? How about eliminating people that use 3rd party software to turn their box's into bots, how about eliminating people that use MQ2 to teleport or track things so they don't need a ranger. How about literally doing something that fucking matters?
Never once did I pop onto a TLE and go "Wow you know what would improve my playing experience classic enemy models"
Also persona's are just pay 2 win teleporting buy enough persona slots to where you can call back to your home.

"Oh well they don't have the team size as WoW, FF14, GW2, Ect" Then fucking hire people, start with hiring people that will actually enforce fucking rules the main game doesn't even matter at this point the only reason people buy the expansions are for the single feature that will work on the TLE's.

Again I'm not trying to be rude and I can understand how it can be seen as being rude but seriously if you see those changes as worthy of 10 years of progress you need to set your sights higher and expect more.

I didn’t read your whole post but it sounds like you only care about them banning cheaters? That’s never going to happen unfortunately. To get a clean launch on Teek it was actually easier to go to the MQ devs and convince them to brick MQ on tlp for a week than it was to get Darkpaw to do anything about cheating. It just won’t happen.
In the words of one dev “a small number of devs have a few hours a week to work on anti cheat but tons of cheaters have all day every day to work on cheating”
As for that list not being enough. They’ve also released ten new expansions. No one here cares because FoH is TLP centric but yeah the devs produce brand new content on an annual cycle. No one likes it, but no one liked the shit that came out for like ten years before that either. In fact the last expansion that didn’t suck balls on launch was Classic.

"Setting your sights higher" and "expecting more" is pretty reasonable. Its also EXACTLY what zaide does, with tons of posts and discord messages and even podcasts where he is critical of devs on various issues and explains his desires.
This is a very far cry from "What I want is the game to die and the people that ruined it to lose everything" isn't it?
If they refuse to ban cheaters why even have the rules? All the rules do is piss legit players off. The reason they intentionally post rules like 2 box max for Fangbreaker was to lure people in like myself (I admit dumb fucking decision on my part) thinking it will be different this time because they specifically stated it. Needless to say it's the same old shit. They have no problem suing an emulator for lack of players and profiting off their IP, but they're okay working with a 3rd party cheat program dev that's destroying their game that's not just pathetic it's scummy.
As to devs only have a small hour to work on it. I sent in 20 fucking video's to Daybreak mind you this is what they tell you to do because you're not allowed to talk about it on their forums or Discord and you know what was done. Not a fucking thing it's not that they have low amount of hours to work on it, it's a blattent fucking lack of giving a fuck. They simply don't give a fuck because they see a person that pays 15 bucks a month verses someone that's cheating that's paying 90 dollars a month + exp potions and they go "Man fuck that guy that only pays 15".
The list isn't enough because the new expansions are trash Warlords of Dreanor had more content than the new Everquest expansions I bet Yandere Simulator Dev does more work than the Everquest devs.
Yeah it is very far but it doesn't change how I feel. The game has become nothing but cheaters and the game has been legit ruined for legitimate players.
If someone cheats you remove what they earned because it was earned through unfair means, Everquest is ran by cheaters now remove the game and take everything they got.
Personally I don't see saying that as that bad. I'm not calling for doxxing, I'm not calling for physical harm, I'm not calling for these cheaters to be harassed for cheating. I'm just wanting them to lose everything via fair means such as Everquest dying.

Not sure you can blame daybreak when its an industry issue, you just have a victim mentality.
Daybreak working with devs who create tools for exploiting is a happy middleground im content with.
We still have the tools to ghost kill, no delay, spawn platinum, unlimited instances etc a community effort combined with daybreak is the reason we dont have 2005 - 2011 eq right now

It's not an industry issue and it only exist because they let it. Private servers that care about it often manage to do prevent 99% of it with volunteers.
It's one of the same people responsible for the dupe a Mischief. Using the exact same duping method. It's not some 1337 hacking, the person lags out a zone causing a delayed zone crash. A toon that's in the zone can force close EQ, Reload EQ, Return home, give a toon plat and then get rolled back when the zone finishes crashing and get the plat they had back.

Teeks krono market is basically toast. Every day there are buyers spamming WTB with barely any selling, they spam all day. And its the same people every day. Some weird dupe/bug is the only way I can see them somehow acquiring that much raw plat every day. Iirc it went from around a reasonable 400k to 800k over night and just rapidly climbed from there, sometimes 200-300k a day. From that 400k to now its like 4.5m ea. Supposedly now even more then mischief.
Thank god I dont play the game for krono, or get most my gear from buying it, since if you are not selling items for a krono or more, plat is basically so numerous that everything is either priced ridiculous or so over farmed its dirt cheap.

seru earring can crash zones it probably is used in dupes in luclin era, its been used for years for malicious means when TLPs were competitive. this isnt exactly public knowledge but i stopped giving a fuck

The Mischief platinum dupe was during Kunark. In Velious a guy began using the zone crash to dupe bags full of items but back then they were pretty scared of getting caught due to massive zone lag or crashes being pretty obvious.
