Not sure if I'd call it visceral just yet, but I am utterly sick of the WoW questing system. Go there, kill 10 of these, go there loot 5 of those, repeat for days and days until you finally hit max level. It's all so utterly railroaded and devoid of any sense of player agency or choice. It's just endless chores.
What's worse is that every game seems to be like this now. I watch some stream for a new game, first thing I see is that task list on the right hand side of the screen and I lose all interest.
