This guy is making pretty steady updates. He recently tweaked Exp to make it more rewarding to fight higher level mobs and he's making the gear management UI a lot better for party members.

Pretty cool update coming soon. Party size increased to five to allow for more flexibility. He had to resize dungeons so they weren’t so cramped with five. New class looks cool, will probably start one as soon as it releases. I like that we can skip tutorial island now too, I’ve already spent a ton of time there. Being able to tweak AI behavior is awesome too.

This game is awsome. Singeplayer Everquest. I have a static group and just exploring dungeons, grinding mobs and enjoying the world.

Best new Dad game.

I couldn't agree more. I honestly think AI represents the next great leap for the MMO genre. As conversational AI and NPC behavior become increasingly advanced, we're approaching a point where interacting with them will be virtually indistinguishable from playing alongside real people. Imagine a future where your group is always available, where you never have to wait on scheduling conflicts, and where the world around you feels perpetually "alive".

The implications extend even beyond that. AI-driven economies could simulate the ebb and flow of a living marketplace, keeping systems like an auction house vibrant and believable even in off-peak hours. Entire ecosystems of trade and player-like behavior could exist independently of actual logins, sustaining the illusion of a persistent world.

I don't want to look things up for the game while playing, but...there are things I should be able to ask the NPCs in-game that you would have been able to ask in EQ. Stuff like..."What are the best zones for level 10?" I did notice when I booted it up yesterday that the NPCs are shouting more zone-specific stuff, like..."Oh, I found a back entrance to [dungeon]", so maybe that's how the developer is trying to help, but it shouldn't be hard to program a FAQ in to make conversations with the NPCs better.

I passed that on to the discord, maybe he will add something like that

Awesome, thanks.
There’s a map on their wiki with level ranges if you do need it. I won’t link it since you said you didn’t want to look things up. In general the landing point on the main isle and its “dungeon” are good to get close to 10, then the adjacent zones are beyond that, any direction. The further you get from the landing point (mostly) the higher the level range. So you could go west east or north from there and do any of those areas, or bounce around between them for variety.

Thanks...I guess maybe I went too far and need to back up a bit. I think I cleared The Bonepits completely and headed to Port Azure, then down to Vitheo's Watch where I grinded on Giants and crocs for a while. But I was getting destroyed in Old Krakengard a few months ago before I got busy with other stuff and stopped playing. I logged on yesterday and couldn't find a good spot...I'd be able to kill some stuff in places like Rottenfoot, but then something would stomp me. I guess everything feels too easy or too hard right now, so I'm trying to figure out where I should be.

About to get lunch, but maybe I'll try again after eating.

Port Azure has a huge level range. Do Fernallas revival plains and underspine hollow that are nearby, then rotten foot after those.
