FV loot rules are god awful to manage at a guild level. It basically disencourage the mid tier raider, as the end tier guy will just sell and cash out.

For example at 30% raiding, I would never see any meaningful loot.
For example an 80 % raider can gear him self and have a healthy selling, before I see the item at my price range.

Math

out of a hundred dkp some one has 80, I have 30, so item drops, he spend 31, out of my range, gets the item. He is now down to 49DKP. Same item drops, If he is smart, he can just sell before hand/move to alt. Then get the item again, now the third time I finally get the item, and he is 21 DKP ahead of me.

Yeah no.

Also What do you do when your main tank shows up to the raid naked or in substandard gear because he sold everything?

Also, if you had a solid group of friends that raided together hand me downs gears is fucking awesome!!

Loot council.

With items that are from the previous 1 or 2 expansion old being returned by the upgrader and also distributed by council.

Problem solved.

I really don't want to cyber @a_skeleton_02 in order to get loot =(

He will make me beg.

I get it but with Krono being converted to $$, those bocs are worth hundreds of dollars.

That is serious taco bell money.

I think DKP trade in system will work. You have to give your item back in order to get a new one.

That will be nice. Best of both worlds. Actually that would be an amazing idea, like socialism.

I dig it.

those are some extremely far fetched examples lol.

Im sure if tiggles notices his MT is selling shit he just got, and expecting to still raid and keep doing that, he's gonna boot the guy

What if it is tiggles the one doing it!!

DUN DUN DUN!!!

I think a FV rules, where you have to hand your item back, before you get the upgrade will be very nice. That I can subscribe to.

I mean, these are mostly non-issues if the guild has proper loot rules and competent officers. In Classic on Agnarr we had an issue in Faceless with one of our warriors RMT'ing Vox spears or some shit and he flew under the radar until someone noticed he had won like 4 of them. It was looked into, he was removed and the rules were tweaked to mitigate that.

Or if DKP isn't your jam, loot council solves the problem as well.

Phinny allowed 15 years worth of angsty nerds to finally raid mobs that hardcores denied them. I don't see it being nearly as big now because a lot of them are satisifed.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if DBG walked back on this ruleset a bit and changed before launch. They've always been big on backing down when people cry enough.

Loot council is NOT a good answer to sellables. It didn't do shit to solve aow or st loot for example so it wouldn't if everything is that way. You have to just track gear from dkp (which most do already) and occasionally audit.

I assume anyone handed shit like a tunat tongue will have 27 neckbeards inspecting at all times, and then just assign an officer to make random checks and maybe note down what gets turned back in.

How do you explain the 17 guilds that killed Vulak on Agnarr then? Shouldn't they have already been satisfied? Not even that big a drop from 21 who killed Vulak on Phinny... Maybe Coirnav will be 13. Did the PoP lock attract more people than it scared off?

Screwing around on Agnarr, I was surprised by how many people I'd run into who hadn't played the game in ~15 years. I had to show several people to BR in Guk, for instance. I guess they're pulling from a million people who played EQ at one point or another, and their marketing for these things is so bad they only get a small fraction of the folks who want to relive it (or finally do things they only saw from afar) each time.

People from P99, people who had been asking for a PoP locked server for the better part of a decade, people who did not like the exp rate of Phinny, people who do not like GoD and beyond.

tl:dr Agnarr has a different ruleset than Phinny. Coirnav does not.

One thing with FV loot rules is what it does for clickable AAs. Now when a guild gets their first Quarm Earring for example the entire guild would have overhaste.

Kronos....right. I was not thinking about those. They didn't exist when we did loot council with Fire and Fury on FV.

On the plus side, ryantwin20 will have a whole new server to ruin his name and act like a little bitch on.

slower exp? same timeline as other TLPs? not that hyped. Honestly if they just let me roll a zerker or beastlord at launch I'd be in though. I never got to play those classes.
