Druids are very solid, IMO. Their flower HOTS are very good and portal rituals are great. At some point you'll level dru or wiz fort tps and if you don't have a wis class already I think druid brings a lot to the table

The price was never an issue for anyone who isn't a broke boy. The problem is the maladaptive design effects that come from having P2W/P4QOL mechanics in your game. There is a financial incentive to make shit grindy and shitty and less fun to inspire people to pay for QoL. Everquest is already a property completely caked in the shit of MTX, so nobody is surprised. I just don't give any credit to the developers of such shit covered slop as 'artists' because their goal is obviously milking people for a few extra bucks vs making the best product they can. This is an ideological and moral complaint, not a financial one.
Look, you could order a pizza directly from in game in EQ2. What more do you want?

You just take a wiz & dru to 25 and move back to your primary trio. Doesnt take much time at all, especially when your wiz hits level 18 with Garrison's nuke.

You then get all the ports ever needed in Rituals. No reason whatsoever to keep the Dru in your main trio. Its a master of none for bringing anything unique to the table.

DRU brings DS, dots, nukes, snare, sow, and pac to the table. It is a very versatile class. WAR/BST/DRU would be capable of crushing most things.
