Well apparently they'll let people start streaming it this Friday but won't allow shit to be said in the Discord due to the NDA... Which is kinda confusing.

"You can stream the game but don't you dare fucking talk about what is in the game"

I'm guessing because people won't watch streams?

In a game this old, an NDA isn’t protecting much proprietary. And to disallow real feedback will instill doubt and resentment.

The beta is small enough that they would be able to find and DMCA strike and ban offenders pretty easily if they want to. That said, no idea if there will be restrictions on what can or can't be streamed.

Level + race + class combo would be enough to filter it down to almost unique individuals.

They say it's "because of RMT" but anyone with an IQ above 90 knows supply going up = price goes down. They don't want to get rid of RMT they want to be the RMTers. How much you wanna bet the 3rd way to level items is the cash shop. Also leaks confirmed what i said about bringing AFK boxes for personal loot. Motes are used to level items and aren't no drop. Paying for extra accounts = paying for bonus loot.

Gameplay wise the thing that needs to happen is TTK coming down. Difficulty is currently balanced Bethesda style with just endless amounts of HP, full sky geared people doing D4 dragons said it took almost 30 minutes to kill.

I'd like to see max 5 minute length with much more reactivity in the combat. Right now you just tab out so you don't fall asleep during fights.

Part of the fun of THJ was that at some point it basically made EQ almost an ARPG. Just mowing down mobs. Would involve some serious changes to the underlying mechanics, combat abilities, etc to really get interesting stuff. THJ Seru/Sleeper come to mind as a way to attempt it. Problem, as people laid out, is that EQ classic-pop isn't 'hard'. The difficultly comes in coordinating 72 retards to all look in the same direction for 4 hours and then to correctly distribute the loot, things that are not issues on this server.

Motes are in game drops, so not sure what you are getting at there. That's not RMT or p2w at all.

Which level your items. With personal loot if you kill something with an AFK box in your group that AFK box gets loot. So if you pay for 2 accounts you get double loot. It's a way to pay cash for gear upgrades in a way that isn't against TOS. They're selling gear upgrade tokens battle pass style.

Daybreak gives you 500 station cash for free each month. This isn't because their nice, it's because they want you to engage in habit forming behavior of buying from the shop, so that later on you'll engage in those habits by spending money. EQLegends doesn't give you free Primary changes till 11 and 1 free one at 50 because they're nice, it's because they want you to engage in habit forming behavior that will cause you to pay for a token later on. This isn't a conspiracy this is industry standard for MTX games.
