At EverQuest's release, most raid bosses had health pools between
15,000 and 30,000 HP. Specific examples from the Plane of Fear include Dread, Fright, and Terror, which each had
15K HP, while Cazic-Thule had approximately
30K HP.
A few notable exceptions existed:
- Nagafen and Lady Vox (Kunark expansion, but often compared to early raid tiers) had base HPs around 32,000.
- Kerafyrm the Sleeper (Terror of Luclin expansion) is estimated to have had between 100 million and 400 million HP, with 250 million being the most accepted guess, making it an extreme outlier compared to standard raid bosses.
It is important to note that modern private servers (such as TLP) and expanded content have significantly increased these values, with many classic-era bosses now having over
100,000 HP or more to account for modern gear and mitigation.
