Yea I'm in a mix of ethereal mist and russet with a sprinkling of inny / naggy stuff. If I don't do the slow outlasting and just try to dot him up to the max I can get him down fairly low. Evasive is good for loading him up with dots but after that I have to pretty much chain healing light in channeler stance. I don't have defensive.

He's not so bad early in the fight because he wastes alot of time casting spells.

Long ago there used to be endurance healing spells, back when endurance kind of mattered and was a problem on phinny (swimming reduced it). That spell would be handy for keeping defensive going if we still had it.

Taking slow out of the equation, try bouncing between defensive stance (most of the time) and then getting into Evasive plus Divine to heal yourself. Only heal using Evasive/Divine combo. Then, when you're 80-100% health get back into Defensive stance with either Recovery or Inversion, depending on the need to hit him with a lifetap or dot.

Hearing good things about Warriors but not sure what the appeal is over something like a pally as the tank element in a trio. They have something particularly good on this server, or is the little extra AC/hp really worth it?

Double attack at lvl 10 instead of 20. Higher AC cap by a fair margin. More HP and END calculated into stats. Health Regen AA only they get. Cleave is "OK" but not great. Indicolite armor is the best planar armor, but if you can find Russet than that's a moot point. Highest crit chance (with crit AA I was getting 10%-12% crit chance I think). Higher natural crit damage by 30%.

That's all I can think of right now. I played one in Beta 3 weeks ago and might be forgetting something.

Is there an FoH official server for release? I think I'm going to Qeynos if they keep the same server names.

Indicolite seems significantly better than Russet here fwiw. Just got a BP drop for both today and Indicolite has near 2x ac

Definitely gonna check this out on release. Enc/Dru with War or Pally.
Enchanted and Druid sort of cancel each other out. With Druid you want to be hit because of the good dmg shield. Enchanter thrives on fast mez and not being hit by 3-6 mobs at once.

Rangers don't get defensive. I have channeler (I think) that is kinda ok. I tank nag with that. Not enough for cazic though.

Was considering WAR/SHM/NEC but really seems like MNK/SHM/NEC would be one of the better combos out there.

Shoot, you're right. I'm used to having a class with Defensive. Well, either way, try the evasive/divine combo.

People who used Druids to dmg shield and /afk were doing it wrong.

Druids are powerful because they're basically a miniature Wizard built on top of a healer shell, with some added utility. Plus, their Drones line has a nasty -mag resist modifier, which allowed it to land on a ton of shit.

On THJ I ran the monk/pal/war setup. I havent really put much work into planning out what Im gonna do when this goes live. What pairs best with monk/pal? Im kinda leaning toward sticking with those two, or maybe monk/war? I dunno.

most likely going to go mnk/shm/nec as well come launch but well see how things shape up for release. I'm still leaning towards SK for knight weapons, plate and soul abraison shit but nec has grown on me a lot with playing it on frostreaver

Seems like the hp regen from shm regen line, plus necro leech line, plus iksar race regen would be amazing. Damage output from monk would well exceed warrior, plus FD to bypass content, mend, monk weapons, etc. Slows, buffs, haste from the Sham (all the reasons mnk/shm make such a great duo), plus undead spells, massive dots, spot heal taps, DS, etc from the necro....

Only downside I see is no defensive stance unless you have War/Shd/Pal. Probably not a requirement but its super nice.
