The latest change to SK bumps them above paladin again I think in terms of choice. LOH is nice but one big advantage of HT over LOH is HT can basically be used on cooldown, LOH you often need to wait to use it until your health is low enough to justify it, that is partially balanced with HTs longer cooldown but not entirely I think. That plus smite taking mana being so much worse than reave taking HP really pushes SK over the edge imo.

Shd/Enc/Wiz. Try to lull and pull when I can but if that ain't working should be able to handle a few whacking on me until I get em mezzed. Slow em, debuff, wake em up with a fat nuke. No idea how effective it will be but it sure sounds fun.

should be fun to level, higher tier content you will prolly end up wanting to swap out the wiz cause you will be tap tanking with the SKs great taps and the amount of mana you can devote to wiz nukes will be not much considering the cost of slows and taps.
Wiz isn't a bad class to have maxed though for the rituals even if it isn't always in your loadout and wiz is good for early farming of like hate and fear because you can delete stuff.

Some of the items and zones still have legacy p99 stuff on them but the wiki has come a long way. Most of the in era stuff should actually be up to date at this point. The spells on the wiki should be accurate. Some of the descriptions still need a little tweaking but the raw spell data should be correct.Speaking of unofficial vibe coded semi-slop:

May be helpful, but at a quick glance NOT SURE their spell stuff is 100% accurate because it's probably pulling from the wiki which isn't completely accurate because it pulls from p99 wiki. It's an okay eyeballer thing, though.

I was planning pal/enc/wiz myself. Went Pal over sk because I was concerned that the taps/leeches an sk gets wouldn't hold up in big fights compared to the healing a pal gets.
I've always found pal/enc to be an extremely effective/underrated combo. And sk/enc always felt inefficient bc clarity and lich lines don't stack.
The wait for Tuesday is killing me. Been reading up a little more on how crazy warriors can get their hp regen. Some of my best memories in classic-kunark were playing my shaman and standing toe to toe with slowed stuff while regenning hp. It wasn’t fast, but it was nonstop. Anxious to try it out. My first trio to 50 was war/rog/shm, but it was pretty lackluster back then. Sooo many changes have come since then.

Double pure melee is just going to be shit in every case; you're just getting a marginal benefit of an extra attack skill and almost never any real synergy compared to a class with a mana bar.

EQL is going to be a fake and gay version of THJ that Secrets and DBG claimed to have had vision for all along.
I'll never see it for anything else.
There was another way to go, and they choose this path. Support it or don't. I just can't see it going anywhere good.
