Agreed on both points, Torrid. Places like d4 Mistmoore castle are basically unplayable if under leveled due to paper thin walls and thousands of pets everywhere. The pet issue also really diminishes the efficacy of lull. As far as I can tell, you need to lull the pet separate from the NPC. So in tight spaces, you need to lull the room, the pets in the room, and adjacent rooms (and their pets) due to the wall issues. And because pets are basically filling the void between NPCs in these rooms, the stuff will often chain agro anyway even if lulled as stuff just gets so packed together.

Also, does Legends agro work on the tick system like live? The chaining seems snappier and less forgiving than I would expect.

Attempting to actually break CE in Mistmoore without extreme patience can quickly turn into a clusterfuck. The aggro in that area is so fucked and is probably one of the worst offenders in early EQ. I watched like 5 different groups in as many hours get ass blasted attempting to get beyond that point on Frostreaver.

Tick skipping still works, but they definitely fixed pathing in general. In almost all previous situations you could run by mobs and they'd temporarily bug out as they'd try to decide where they wanted to go. On here, it looks like they are using /stick and will continuously track you down with no hesitation. I do not think they use the same method in EQ live, but they definitely did a pass on pathing in general as anyone who played on FR in Chardok would tell you.

One of the weird mob pet oddities I have noticed is, you can pacify the main mob, but its pet can simply social aggro you. The weird part is, the pet comes all by itself (its owner still ignoring you). But as soon as you do anything detrimental to the pet, the owner then aggros and comes to assist.

As mentioned, D4 is just a sea of multiclass mobs with pets everywhere. So, you’ve got to pacify literally every mob and its pet.

Yet another reason why the enchanter class with AE mez is super OP. You can get these monstrous chain aggro messes, and you just AE mez your way out of trouble, following it up with AE memwipe.

Loving this.

Trouble at mill though. Five days consecutively servers have been down for a few hours in our prime play time. People getting restless. They need a do a double xp weekend or something to keep people onside.

Normal people understand. Launch weeks and unexpected technical difficulties and what not. People are patient and are not entitled bitches, people know this will be fixed.

The amount of crazy addicted nerds on the discord is astounding, everyone acts like this was 1999 and it's the new hot shit.

Me, I am playing casually and chill 12 to 14 hours a day since launch. Yesterday I spent 11 hours looking for Lynuga. I will never own an Ivandyr's hoop, the lady does not show up.

12 hours per day is not casual. That’s addiction levels of gaming.

I read that as "I log in, play really ineffectively and call it casual."

but I know what you mean though, we've all gone through periods of hyper-efficient gaming doing repetitive, frustrating and boring things for internet pixels that have zero value the second you move onto the next game. Just playing a game to have fun is peak gaming. Though looking for a troll for an entire day doesn't seem very fun, lol.

They definitely changed the way pet aggro works on both clients.

To circle back on my Chardok comment, just because im more familiar with the zone than Id like to admit. As of now if you drop off at the first bridge with no aggro, and you have a charm pet you can either force the pet to warp back on to you via pet commands, or you can space out and not do that and let it path naturally path. It'll make it back to you, but it will bringing the entire gang along with it.
