Machin Shin is also one of the top guilds in the game. All the live guilds are full of crusty roaches who lost their virginity to EQ in the 1999-2001 period and are still married to the game.Holy fuck. The guild I started with a couple from the east coast is still operating lol.

Half tempted to fire it up and poke around, but the last thing I need is to get sucked into another 20 year old MMO.

It's been a pleasant surprise for us. We're up to about 15 guild members from games past and others still saying they're going to get started soon. Word of mouth has been good amongst our community of EQ folks and I think Kunark will be really good for more folks to get interested. I'm really interested to see just how good their original content is and if it's enjoyable. I'm worried a little about the itemization and how that impacts progression but hopefully it will be fine.

Finally hit 50. Other than skips, rogue seems pretty insanely mediocre. May swap it for a wizard or something. Nec rogue Bard. It's not clear to me if the rogue poison passive is impacting the necro dots. Could obviously go shaman as well, but seems too easy.

Couldn’t do naggy at 40 as pal/mnk/shm. I’m not min maxing or anything so just nostalgic farming so winging. I could only drop to 40-50 before I run out of steam. My fr is base, didn’t have resist fire spell…but most damage felt more from melee than anything.
Felt like a failure. I even googled how to use the motes and leveled up my heal spell. Lols.

38 slow is the last one, so get that to at least +5. With malo that should let you get the dragons slowed ASAP. Do the same for your dots, slug's healing, and direct heal.
Spell upgrades add +heal/dd, extend duration, lower cds and mana usage and -15 resist per upgrade.

40 can be done, just takes forever. Dragon mitigates most damage. Easy to do at 45 with Befallen gear. I fell asleep at D1 and still beat him.

Basically I am treating this as a trip down memory lane.
Dwarf Warrior/Cleric/Wiz to start - went right to West Freeport, then Easy Commons, then Nro for a bit, went to Befallen, and then started in on a derv camp just because, now I am in unrest at level 11. Thanks for the advice on adding Wiz - holy hannah good kills. I should probably get some gear at some point I am going to to go West Karana to listen to the music, and then go to North Karana and go see my old treant camp where I leveled my Necro from 32 to 34 way back when. HIt up Lguk and some other places too. Nostalgia city over here for Uncle Ut.

Cazic-Thule was my last big boss to take down. I died the first attempt at 1%...probably would have won, but he started hitting me hard and I thought he was enraging, so I turned attack off for a bit. He wasn't enraged...just bad RNG. Anyway, he couldn't even give me a good picture of his corpse.
I ended up getting 50 farming Fear after that. I still need to go through Sky and back to SolB to get Naggy to drop a torn, burnt book for my Fiery Avenger, but I'm ready to load up a new class combo and see what I can do with all of this twink gear.
