It's not new, it's from Ykesha era. The quest line was meant for level 30 players, and was garbage even then.Newly added quest. Just makes no sense the way it’s implemented.

Ahh, ok. New to me then. I never played past Velious. It's not new, it's from Ykesha era. The quest line was meant for level 30 players, and was garbage even then.

Broooo quit acting like your parents let you have your own credit card.Sweet time to bust out the credit card again, that's my favorite gameplay

All bickering and trolling aside, I think the highest I ever made it to on thj was like level 35 before it became apparent the server had a death date.
So I never really saw what the endgame looked like, but based on the constant back and forth between the versions I was always curious as to why people were going to the mat for thj being a vastly superior product.
Truthfully, I could never adamantly say x is greater than y. But with the emergence of the offshoot thj, I decided to take a closer look at what was being posted on yt.
Does this really require healing yourself every 90 seconds? Is this limited to just seru and there are other encounters that actually require you to interact at an increased rate outside of turnig on autosttack?
The above isnt really possible out the gate for any combos on legends. Is this one of the types of features that pro thj players feel they need for an enjoyable experience?
Outside of these things, i know theres discrepancies between item/spell leveling, the amount of aa's available, and the number of expansions that have been released. So I'm genuinely asking where the superiority comes from beyond that, becauae that Seru fight looks boring as fuck.
Im really asking this in good faith, but does that ramp up feel as if it has a long term satisfying effect? Or does the core of that style of gameplay rely on content being released fast enough before the dog catches the car?THJ had its problems and so does Legends. They also both have features that the other does not which are cool. Having played both now I can say that THJ was easier to play solo/ssf and it ramped up to a power fantasy where youre killing gods and other such things. Legends does not feel this way. THJ was also constantly balancing shit where the jury is still out on Legends if they are going to do such balance passes per class.

THJ sounded interesting but also incredibly boring because characters were too powerful. No challenge. Some people get off on instant wins. That’s why some hack/cheat in games.Im really asking this in good faith, but does that ramp up feel as if it has a long term satisfying effect? Im watching this guy pull 35% of unrest within one pull with no pervious gear or aas that enabled him to do that and it just seems lol. And then the seru fight he hits 'a' while then casts heals every 1.5 minutes to kill.
In terms of balance, Legends is nerfing charm as it became extremely apparent that it was was way over the top OP. Probably too late, but that sort of the thing where some players enjoy and gravitate towards broken builds versus players that would rather that most are within the same realm of balance. Finding a happy medium between the two is pretty much impossible.

Becoming end game viable was extremely easy. Killing the hardest bosses in era absolutely was not. Hardmode Zeb required pretty much perfect gear to kill. Getting enough shielding/dps to meet his checks took forever to farm or literal millions of platinum to buy.THJ sounded interesting but also incredibly boring because characters were too powerful. No challenge. Some people get off on instant wins. That’s why some hack/cheat in games.
Go in SSF like mkopec is doing and it will be plenty interesting. Buying out of era gear will make it much easier and will be more about the journey and seeing the things you never did although some fights will still be a challenge. Clearing POT, Seru, Quarm, Zeb can be quite the challenge depending on build. For my SK/RNG/ROG I needed help with Xegony due to the mechanics (super slow) and had to get help.THJ sounded interesting but also incredibly boring because characters were too powerful. No challenge. Some people get off on instant wins. That’s why some hack/cheat in games.
Im in no way assuming thj or eql was supposed to be anything resembling any type of uber difficult mode.THJ was never supposed to be some hardcore struggle buss server. It was always a casual solo server experience. And like Janx said, it was as challenging or easy as you made it.
Back when THJ was a thing you could buy the THJ currency for RL money, switch it to PP by selling it to people, then buy all the current era raid gear and weapons from the market and then proceed to be a god leveling in norrath. Or you could SSF your way through the game using in era gear you find. It was all up to you. And one of the things that made it great.
He’s on the other side of the never ending pissing contest of THJ vs legends. THJ overall was easier but its hardest bosses were far and away harder than what legends offers currently. It simply comes down to which systems are more fun for you. Do you want to feel like a god or do you want a slow burn?Well I guess youre not missing out on anything then, gratz. Are you trying to somehow convince yourself that one of these things is better than the other?
