Agreed, especially as a cleric. Assuming I'm thinking of the same person here. I ran Cleric for most of PoP era to cover healer lineups because of folks like him flaking out.

Yeah, when I talk about epic significance I'm talking about Kunark+ in-era. How good is it then and how long does it last from then. I'm not talking about any particular later era that any particular TLP may or may not currently be in, or Live Era, or WoW, or Aion, or any other unrelated game on the market.

This is the live servers thread. The monk epic (and any fist weapon) having a broken damage table exclusively when dealing with motm raid mobs means nothing.

To bite on this hand-wringing, I could post an epic ranking in the Teek thread, but Teek is past that era. I could post it in the Fangbreaker thread, but Fangbreaker is past that era. This is the closest thing to a catch-all EQ thread.

This might be wrong, classic itemization isn't my forte or anything, but looking at Raidloot...

For a classic launch, it appears that basically all Berserker and Beastlord usable raid weapons are off of the same 2-3 mobs, all in the worst raid zone (PoSky). Mithril Two-Hander from Guk is probably the best non-raid option for Berserkers (not sure about Beastlord) and basically on par with the raid weapons (all around 0.52 ratio).

HOWEVER

There's one weapon not from Plane of Sky that is far and away Berserker BIS in classic, with a whopping 0.67 ratio and a big proc. And it's... Soul Leech, Dark Sword of Blood. That's going to generate a hilarious level of salt.

We did the math before selo and theres no way its gotten better. Beastlord is gonna be almost equal but slightly behind a necro who never charms. Berserker is even worse than rogue.

Yep, it's bad. For a Zerker, the one thing worth having is something you'll have to compete with 15 SKs for.
