Guy at work said they rented their house for the F1 race and went on vacation. I think he said they got $4,500 for the week for it.

Like I said, the Mexicans that were in our section appeared to have crashed the border, got completely hammered, stripped down to their pants and sandals, and then screamed at everyone in a McLaren shirt that the team was racist. It was soooo annoying. Other than that the crowd was pretty diverse and surprisingly not full of belching confederate flag owners, which is cool considering Austin doesn't typically seem that diverse to me.

We had a terrible time getting a hotel so I can see the whole rental idea working out well for locals. Especially since there were several other major venues competing that weekend.

Also, is this really necessary?
