Fall 2017 Anime Thread

Is Hero Academia taking a break for the Fall/Winter?

Not really taking a break as much as another season hasn't been officially announced. I'm sure it will receive one though, just a matter of when.

Shokugeki no Soma gets my only automatic watch. The rest of the season has some interesting points, but that's the only one I'm committing to.

So if Shokugeki is Food Porn, then is Isekai Shokudou like Food EverQuest Box Art?

Shokugeki no Soma - So happy this is back, probably my favorite show.
3-Gatsu no Lion - I'll watch just about anything by Shaft, and this got me hooked season 1, even if I still know fuck all about shogi.
Mahoutsukai no Yome - Loved the OVA's, didn't realize there was more coming til I read this thread. Thanks fam.
Juuni Taisen - Know nothing about this, other than the mention here that its by NisiOisin, so that's a must watch.

Other than that I'm sure I'll just check this thread and new releases to find another 10 things to watch like usual.

Zaregoto seems relevant to my interests. I'll definitely have to check that one out.

I have heard that the upcoming anime season covers a shitty arc in the manga, kinda sucks if true.

Food speed dating. Only 1 season. Light on plot.

You're right. The show didn't really have a plot. It was just a "this is happening" type of situation. But I did enjoy the show, none the less. The ending was the same as any other episode. It made wonder what they were going to introduce next week.

They even tried to hook in battle people by having the evil dragon chick. But nothing really became of that. "She looks strong. Let's not fuck with her."

She's not evil. Quite the opposite actually. The problem is that her magic is death based, so she can't hang out with mortals for long periods of time.

I realize she isn't evil, but her powers are very evil. Even if she doesn't want it to be that way, it doesn't change how she works. But yeah, nothing really became of either of those stories. Her introduction being a big thing. Stopping the Sirens (by saying "stop that"), and having the 2 world beaters say she's really strong. But... what's the point of the character?

The point of Kuro was to make me hungry enough for curry to drive across town to get the good stuff. At least I'm assuming, because it was highly effective at that.

In something related to the Fall season, does Shokugeki really start on Tuesday? That's what livechart.me says, but IIRC it was always a Friday show, so now I'm not sure.

First of the new shows, UQ Holder! - It's a show about a kid that's a vampire. Very gory. Honestly, it wasn't bad. I'll give it a shot for episode 2. The attitude slightly (very slightly) reminds me of Hero Academia. It doesn't seem to be that type of show, but who knows.
