so OFA actually did steal that quirk from the glowing baby, although not quite how I had envisioned it. I got really worried when they started showing OFA's origin thinking Horikoshi was going to abruptly swerve from making OFA cartoonishly evil into trying to make him sympathetic like the rest of the league but thankfully he was an absolute monster from birth. Now I wonder what kind of asspull is gonna let Deku beat Shigaraki.

My anime watching friend is a big fan of the studio trigger/gainax, so we've been going through those. The only one I haven't really liked has been brand new animal. 600 hours of vrchat couldn't prepare me for that level of furryness.
I missed the "women friendly anime" talk, but Dress up darling is awesome, and Onimai. The big negative with Onimai is you will want more and we aren't likely to get any.
To those I'd add Aharen, and Alya hides her feelings in russian or something like that. Wataten is super cute, but some people find Mya-nee a bit sus.
Oops I got distracted by that. What I was going to say about trigger, is that I'm really impressed with how unique their characters are.
Alot of studios can only draw girls, so the whole show will be women, and a bunch more draw them all the same way. You could take 5 characters, and stretch them so the height is the same, and swap their hair around and you wouldn't know which is which.
Little Witch has a whole gaggle of girls and they all look super unique, even in different outfits and hair.

I'm kind of "surprise me" with what we watch next so I'm not sure. So far of the bunch we've done FLCL, Abenobashi, Panty & Stocking, Delicious in Dungeon, BNA and in the middle of little witch.

While it's true that hater is one of my many middle names, I meant what I said very literally. The show is full of gooner bait with all the incredibly gratuitous shots of Marin yet it's somehow still a wholesome cutesy romcom despite all of that. I wasn't hating on the show at all.
