OPM is really bad this season but I wouldn't say its because of animation quality drop-off. There is just literally no Saitama and no action. Its all Garou who honestly isn't interesting (I still dont understand how he's immortal) and side characters. They left all the ham in without any of the ass-kicking relief.
Yea, its pretty bad. It's absolutely nothing like the first season where it was mostly each episode or few episodes being an arc where genos got his ass kicked and saitama blasted it. It just doesn't feel right.

This week's Gacha was very entertaining. Everyone in that world that isn't human is such trash.

Let the power of friendship fill the holes in your heart.
You keep your friendship away from my holes.

I honestly don't know what I expected, MHA has always been a very by the numbers shonen and this ending is very much in line with that. Something about it just still feels off, or maybe I'm just still aggravated about the absurdity of Shigaraki being able to just effortlessly snatch out pieces of OfA or now that I think about it the fact that he was even able to use danger sense in the first place. I'm not saying I wanted this shit drawn out for another half a season but it felt pretty anti-climactic for AFO to get taken down so easily in the very next episode after pulling a Kaguya on Shigaraki.

I'm just glad it's over at this point. AFO was just a random MMO boss who had literally just curbstomped the entire nation. Better to put it all to rest rather trying to Lagannify it. Now a little denouement to wrap up the rest of the big story threads and call it a series.

My daughter says that she's crying every single episode of this season. She really gets into anime. ... And Final Fantasy.

Kamen is the hidden gem this season. Just when I think I have the show figured out something fucking retardedly amazing happens and I have yo try to figure out the show again. Not sure if I'm a retard or this show is retarded. Either way I end up wtf'in every episode.

This show is definitely retarded, but its the fun kind of retarded. I'm enjoying it... If I had grown up with the actual show I'm sure I'd be enjoying it even more.

I wonder if Horikoshi has been a shut-in for most of his life or something, because he's great at writing characters but so much of the stuff in MHA makes it clear that he has absolutely no idea how a lot of the real world works.

The Shonen genre isn't exactly known for its resemblance to how the real world works.

Like how every isekai hero has to figure out how to get rice and soy sauce in their new world.

And they all reinvent mayonnaise like its some big fucking deal. lol

The latest absurdity is Toya not only still being alive, but conscious and coherent enough to speak. Recovery Girl would have to be deep-throating him 24/7 to keep him going with burns like that.

To be faaaaair.gif

While it is simple enough to make if you already have knowledge of it, mayonnaise didn't come about in our world until hundreds of years past the time period that most fantasy Isekais are set in (and Japan's Kewpie mayo didn't come along until another hundred+ years after that although I don't think that's anything more complex than different ingredients). The concept of emulsions is a relatively sophisticated one.
