Cap Collector 2 is required for all rank 3 shops (Weapons/Armor/Trading/Clothing Emporiums and Restaurant) except Surgery Center, which requires Medic 1.The text in Cap Collector doesn't say anything about that shit. Rank 2 just says shit about making things cheaper and sell prices higher. It actually allows you to build a different level of shop as well?
He gets off drugs (I THINK) when you go back and Austing gets sick because he finds his stash is actually connected to another vault that causes some issues you have to deal with. You also tell his sister to keep him off the chems since she is the one that started him on them.
The biggest backwards step from New Vegas is, 100% in my opinion
I agree entirely.No one cares.
man, I'm a realist. I was in there for 200 years. I don't even know when he was taken.. could have been 150 years ago. the cryo/lifesupprt failed due to remote override(letting you out). a separate incident of manual override was also logged.(getting shaun)Look at all you assholes not even looking for Shawn.....
Yeah that was exactly what i was talking about , i thought they would eventually lead to something awesome. Like the MELAs would actually lead me to some funny outcome cause the character was fantastic, NOPE just generic quest 10 to have you clear X POI and having it marked cleared. Same with P.A.M. , thought i would get something fun from her , nope just another generic quest giver. Same with the Doctor , sigh....and other factions was just the same , with Tuvak asking me to escort kids around. No real payoff just another generic quest giver. There does feel like there is a lot more filler fluff. The stuff off of the main story is complete garbage fed ex. There is very little extra lore in the world, very little stuff outside the main factions. The buildings are there, the mutants and raiders etc but the extra touches you mention are mostly missing in this game.
"we never run out of tech to get"
"we never run out of places to clear"
"we can place these things everywhere!"
If you've gotten there you'll know what I'm talking about. That isn't good fallout content. That is lazy ass quest making.
I finished the main 81 quest with the "secret" vault and mole rats. After that and curing the kid, Tina asks me to get her brother off drugs. I go talk to him, every option results in Persuasion failure (6 charisma character); talking to Rachel the doctor has no options but regular "cure me/cure rads" etc options. No idea how to do this quest since every time I talk to Bobby, the drug addict, it gives me persuasion failures. Tried about 20 times now.
Jesus is that what's going on with these 'Cleansing' quests? I thought it was a series.... Ugh I've done like 4 already.Yeah that was exactly what i was talking about , i thought they would eventually lead to something awesome. Those quests are there so that you always have something to do, since there is no level cap, and the game allows you to continue indefinitely after you beat the main story line.Yeah that was exactly what i was talking about , i thought they would eventually lead to something awesome. Yeah they should probably be filed under miscellaneous or whatever it is quests, instead of appearing to be main quests. That's what was nice about Skyrim is those task-quests were clearly labeled as tasks and you could ignore them without feeling like you're skipping critical content.
There's only two cities with named vendors and then there's the caravan and faction merchants. We know that their inventories don't cycle uniques only regular stock, right? Anyone test the stocks on recruitable vendors yet?Vorph, re: the merchants, I feel like the whole merchant + charisma + settlement thing would make more sense if there were some expensive awesome gear you could get where if you had high charisma investment you'd get that gear much earlier and would be more powerful because of it. Instead I'm just selling stuff at 1CHA (+gear) and buying whatever items I want. I keep hoping for a new city with vendors that sell amazeballs gear, but the more I explore the less I think it's happening.
I think part of it is just the size of the game. It's fricken huge. I've been playing almost non-stop since release, I'm at level 21, and I'm just now into Diamond City. I've found 2 bobbleheads so far and maybe 15 magazines. I know there is a shit-ton more to do. So it may seem like there isn't as many "unique" quest lines, but I feel like it's just being diluted by the fact there is a lot more quests in general this time around. Fallout 4 is huge in size and scope compared to Fallout 3, and it scares me to think of how many hours I sunk into Fallout 3....does that mean I'm gonna spend 3x as many hours in Fallout 4 in comparison to 3? Is that even possible? There does feel like there is a lot more filler fluff. The stuff off of the main story is complete garbage fed ex. Sounds like I'm just unlucky then. I've seen the same 2 pieces of unique armor on the caravan every time I see her - assumed she didn't reset like the other merchants.I saw some nice stuff on a caravan vendor, but it was expensive as shit(like 18k caps), though this was on a no charisma character(since iirc that has perks for vendor pricing).
And the first legendary melee weapon I got was from a vendor(general chaos sword), lasted a long ass time too, it was like 2k caps or something.
