Blizzard has been salty about mods and custom content ever since they let DOTA get away from them

Arrogance from gaming companies. Hell Blizzard hates their modding community. Hell if these places weren't retarded they would toss the modders a few bucks take the best of all of them and make official updates so the game isn't American Inventor aids.

Or they could just offer the most popular and best modders a fucking job.

Yeah Taleworlds is another great example of this. They've barely done shit the last 18 months. Meanwhile modders have been fixing their dogshit code since EA. Modders run circles around that retarded team.

That's what they did with Creation Club.

"Each Creation released through Creation Club is official Bethesda content, developed with third-party developers and contracted mod authors."

That's good to hear. I'll give it a try after I'm finished with Skyrim. I never got heavy into modding New Vegas.

Man I remember the first time playing NV and seeing Cazadors for the first time

I thought they’d be slightly more difficult than bloat flies

what a fucking miscalculation that was

my first time playing NV i wandered off the path and saw a deathclaw agro me from a fuckin mile away. turned around and started running the other direction. after a while i turned around right as the fucker caught up to me and my body got smacked into 15 pieces and i screamed like a little girl. 10/10 best Fallout game.

Just installed viva new Vegas on my pc with all the mods and DLC. Already liking it more than Witcher 3 which I tried to replay after the gfx update.

But seriously, I couldn’t get into 1 or 2

3 was good but New Vegas is just so much better

4 was an attempt to more mainstream the franchise, leaning more on the fps aspect and diminishing the role play

if you have a pc just install fallout 3 and fallout new vegas (steam or GOG) then install the tale of two wastelands mod

it imports all of fallout 3 into New Vegas so you get the story beats of 3 but the QoL improvements in NV. It did take me like 2 hours to get it running and setup but was pretty fun and interesting to do, plus adding other mods like Friendly Strip Factions, Home Tweaks, TTW Reputations, Freeside Overhaul, etc.

I played for like 5 hours, enjoyed myself, and haven't touched it since lol. Not even sure how you get to the fallout 3 stuff, you start TTW as the normal new vegas game but I think there's a way to travel to the east coast for fallout 3 start.

dunno if the video mentions it (I assume so) but I use ModOrganizer to setup everything, once you get it running right its super easy to add mods, organize stuff, etc and runs great with a controller.

All the pre-Bethesda Fallouts are pretty dated at this point (1,2,Tactics). If you don't mind low res janky UI games and can power through it, they're solid. Just difficult (both the game itself and getting past the dated feel)

Fallout 3 and NV are very similar - NV has a better overall story. They're a little dated looking as well given their age

Fallout 4 and 76 look the best graphics wise, although they have the overall weakest stories. They do have some cool QoL stuff you'll miss in older games, like Power Armor being actual power armor you can customize/repair vs. regular armor with special stats you slap on your character

I hate the camp building mechanic in 4 and 76. All I need is my footlocker in my room in Novak to store my loot. Me and my best buddy Boone. And my ED-E my love.

But thats the great thing about it. You dont have to build shit. But if you do want to the option to do so is there.

Yup. It's pretty much completely optional in both games.

Without base building I probably wouldnt have put nearly as much hours into both titles
