I spent like half my auction dollars for West, probably saved my season.

My predicament: Brees is on a bye and Bradford who was my backup is hurt. Waiver wire in 14 team league is nonexistent.

So......gonna try and pick up Case Keenum this week and roll with him vs Baltimores almost dead last secondary. If he can get me 15 I'd be happy, seemed to play pretty well for the Texans when they had a worse offense than this to work with. Oh well, slim pickens not much else to do.

I'm at my 5 WR limit for our league but I kind of really want to grab Danny Amendola.

AB is untouchable.
Jeffery as well.
Allen Robinson has been fantastic.
John Brown was doing great until he got hurt. 0-3 on targets last week. And Michael Floyd seems to have stepped in to his role as #2 in AZ. BUT Floyd went out with a hammy this week and is questionable. Big potential upside if Brown is healthy and Floyd is out.
Decker is retardedly consistent, but I have trouble playing him because the lack of upside.

I'm 4th on the waiver order, decent chance of getting Danny. Pretty sure I'm gonna dump John Brown for him if I can make it happen.

So I need a WR on my team kinda now that Edelman went down. Right now I have: Allen Robinson, Crabtree, Davante Adams, John Brown.

I'm trying to trade Barnidge for a solid replacement to Edelman (to start alongside Robinson and whichever other WR I have faith in that week). So far the two offers i've gotten are Lafell and Michael Floyd (would give me 2 arizona WRs but John Brown hasn't done much lately, not sure if he's going to get back to producing... kind of depends on the injury severity on Floyd too). I love me some Patriots but i'm not sure how much Lafell will be doing even with Edelman going down (it'll probably just be more Gronk/Amendola for the most part but maybe Lafell blows up instead).

Option B: I say screw it and keep Barnidge on my bench to try and prevent a few of the teams with bad TEs from gaining points at that position and just put my faith in what I have left with Edelman gone.

Big problem with Amendola is that he is so boom-or-bust you basically can only get him in your lineup if you have no other options. I mean, I'd be playing Decker long before Amendola with that lineup. Lafell at least has been getting consistent targets in his return (close to Gronk and Edelman), big problem is he isn't catching enough of them right now.

I'm not sure how long you have till you need to get your waiver-wire claim in, but I think Brown has enough value that you could package him with an RB to possibly get an RB upgrade. I'd try to get that deal done first before just throwing him away on waivers if you feel strongly about grabbing Amendola.

AP, Latavius, Deangelo, Yeldon, and Woodhead are holding it down well enough. Have to keep in mind that it's an 8 team league and everyone carries an extra QB or two because we play 2. So everyone is pretty deep generally. You're trying to basically grab someone that will be valuable for a week or two so others can't.

Also I'm in kind of desperation mode trying to make a playoff push. Was down to 2-6 and in last place(with 2nd most points scored). Won my last 2 weeks against the 1st and 3rd place teams and got in to first in total points. Now one game out of playoff spot. I'm kind of rolling the dice on high ceilings right now and just letting it ride.

Still, leaning towards Jeffery/Robinson/Decker as my WR/Flex. But I totally might swap the honkies at the last minute.

I also might swap Woodhead in for Murray. Which is dumb, Murray should get mad touches against the mediocre Detroit D.

edit: Both of my QB's being on bye(C'MON TYROD TAYLOR AND MARK SANCHEZ!) is killing my mojo though. Luckily my opponent is down Brees and Barnidge and his back up TE is questionable(Ladarius Green). So it balances out some.

Odell on bye. Who would you flex?

M. Jones @CAR
K. Williams @NE
A. Blue vs. NYJ
M. Gordon vs. KC

I know, brutal. Not much on the wire either, Ted Ginn, Tavon Austin, Charles Sims, etc.

If Lynch can't go for some reason I have Rawls rostered as well.

Standard scoring:

Who should I start between Forsett, McFadden, and Yeldon? I'm leaning Forsett and McFadden at this point.

I have Allen Hurns in the flex, with Julio Jones and Hopkins at WR. I think Hurns is a start no matter what, so it's just down to the RB spots.

Maybe pick up Austin and hope the new QB targets him a lot.

Not scared of Welker vulturing his targets?

I say Matt Jones. Maaaaybe Rawls if no Lynch but until then go Jones.

And I believe in Amendola for this week. Probably won't play him, but I think he'll produce.

Cam vrs Wash or Carr vrs Lions?
Champagne problems, am I right?

My gut says Cam is the safe bet. My balls say you gotta ride the hot hand and play Carr. Dude is neck and neck with Brees over the last 4 weeks. And it's not like Cam is far behind, but he doesn't have quite as cushy a matchup.

I'm debating between Carr and Palmer right now.

Normally I wouldn't have this issue because I don't carry two QB's but I picked up Carr for Palmer's bye week and haven't been able to justify dropping either one since. Keep trying to trade one but even though there isn't a lot left on the QB waiver wire people don't want to trade away anything just to cover their QB bye. I also don't want to drop either of them just to block the people with bye-week problems.

I'm in the same boat. Palmer has been good for me this year but Carr is on fire right now. I'll probably start Palmer though since I have Johnson in my flex.

I would start Carr over Palmer if the Bengals defense continues the tear they've been on recently. Three straight weeks of not giving up more than 10 points.

Man that is a coin flipper, but I'd think I would go with the hot hand that has is on a roll and will be looking to get a bit of revenge on the Bengals. Palmer.

Why would Palmer be the one looking for revenge? He's the one that bitched out and quit on the Bengals.
