This is sincerely a good move for higher education. And having Harvard lead the way is a good thing, the wannabe Ivys will follow suit and it will trickle down.

One thing about the article is absolutely retarded though: no professor anywhere gives As because it affects their chance of tenure. I mean LMFAO what a cartoonish, delusional view of academia. Teaching quality and grades don't matter even a little bit - literally no one looks at them or cares.

Professors give As because entitled students expect them (as the article points out - you got straight As in high school and you often expect to see the same in college), and they don't have the balls to endure a little disagreement so they just inflate the fuck out of grades. Because there has been no incentive built in to resist that. No one ever reviews your grades and says "hey you're giving too many/too few As". That is not a thing.
