Why does error 2002 close the game, so stupid Just put me back at the start screen. Thankfully it seems, even after getting it 5 times in a row, before I could even choose my character to queue, it still seems to keep my place and dropped about 400 people(probably all having the same issues).

They didn't lie when they said this would be longer than usual, feels like I've already done as much as ShB and I'm still on the lvl 85 MSQ stuff. I guess cause there's a lot more long cutscenes and stuff not sure. Good thing is xp is plentiful for once, usually it's kinda tight at release if you don't do some roulettes or whatever too but this time I'm doing roulettes on other classes and my MNK is still like over a full level ahead of the MSQ. Just wish they didn't fucking have a "follow this NPC without being found" quest every other level, these are absolute ass. I don't mind the escorts/pseudo escorts they added so much but the stalking quests suck.

As a side note, MNK is pretty fucking meh now. Pretty sure I'm dropping it the moment I finish the MSQ and will wait for the inevitable rework sometimes in the expansion. It's just too boring now. It does have a bit of "freedom" in the rotation due to how it works and how some of the shit doesn't line up properly anymore because of the new Blitz button, but that's basically it, there's barely anything to weave other than during Brotherhood(during which you spend almost every GCD throwing the punch in 8man) and the Blitz system is super boring. You also basically don't get any worthwhile skill from 74 until the end. Even counting Anatman(lol) and SSS(slightly less lol but still fucking bad), you literally get nothing for 80-90, it's just trait upgrading existing skills into a higher potency different looking one.

And it's not like the class is button bloated since they removed a bunch of shit, I have holes on my bars now, so there would have been plenty of room for something. Ironically I think it'd be more interesting if they just removed Chakras, added a few GCDs(Touch of Death back for example), and then just reduced the GCD further from GL(+10%? so GL4 being 30%) and just have a class that has low GCD but no oGCD(other than role skills, buffs and movement).

Yep. I am just about to get through. I started around 10am. Had probably 10 or so 2002 errors in there. It at least keeps your place in line. Just sucks you have to babysit it.

Doesnt seem to matter if you move the window around or not. I've had it 2002 in the middle of moving said window or right after.

Welp, going slow roll on this, since I don't need to push and I am also mainlining EQ again. Doing absolutely nothing except MSQ and blue+ quests, and my RDM is already almost 82 and just unlocked first dungeon. Will give it a whirl tonight. Once I start running into 85+ mobs I will have to bang out my MIN too, since I love running around with no mob aggro.

it does? I just 2002 and went from 3000 back to 5700. This is rough. I havent been able to get in a single time with a queue above 1000

Can anyone verify if any of the afk tricks still work? I've tested keeping the crafting interface open, attacking a target dummy, and keeping the HUD edit open and get booted every time. I basically can get in early morning at work, and then when my first break rolls in I get booted and then cant get back in for the day.

autoclicker or programmable keyboard/mouse macro set to fire every 10 minutes or so

Worse comes too worse you'll just get booted off the server, they don't do anything past that ...

Starting next week we'll probably start getting the AM restarts everyday at least for a couple weeks till everything calms down..

First trial is awesome. Pretty challenging for a first trial, too. The dungeons have had a lot going on in them as well. So far it's all been fun, engaging content. (edit: except as pyros said, the "follow without being seen" crap)

Looking forward to doing the dungeons with my buddies, they're slow pokes.

I lived through WoW Vanilla Issues, rubber banding for days, The AQ gate shitshow, Multiple Expansions launched for WoW issues. Launches for STO, SWtoR, EQ2, GW2, etc, etc.
And nothing has been as incompetent as this bullshit.
Queue's I can take and have zero problem with waiting 2 hours plus in them.
However trying for 4 hours + each day to GET INTO A QUEUE... WTF
Many people need to be fired over this level of amateur hour worthlessness.
No passes for Covid, you had two years.
No passes for equipment shortages, you had two years.

Yeah, the 2002 error and closing of the game is horrendous. Sit in queue, when you can get in, for 5 - 10 mins. 2002 error again.

Just to add to how utterly stupid they are with this.
Last three times I have been able to actually get into the queue, before it will eventually boot me, I have started at the exact same spot...4144. Yea pure bullshit.

You keep your slot when you 2002 though. I got 2 errors at launch but both time it resumed where it left off/earlier, eventually got in. Relogged at the end of the day at like 3AM and still had 2k queue but only took like 15mins to get back in. No server crash so haven't had to relog otherwise.

I guess it's worse on some servers compared to others, but I'm on the most populated EU server iirc, or like 2nd most. Only worse servers would be Asmongold server or some shit?

I'm a casual pleb in this game just hyped to play the SP story part; logged into a 4k queue. Backed out honestly. At least on NW launch it's a fresh start so you could just hop to a low key server. Right now though trying to return for this hasn't been pleasant.

Soo I'd have too say they have taken the stat squish a bit too far... at 90 and my xenoglossy hasn't been above 13k dmg sense patch.

High Fire/Blizzard is fucking garbage cause the AoE on them is fucking miniscule.(cool looking effects though) , why is the effect area always so fuckin small ? I mean the effect from the spell it's self shows it being a huge area...

Paradox Cool effect , but still having too flop ice/fire in order too just be able too "extend" a single chain seems I don't know ... pointless?

Amplify cool effect, movement tech, let's us pull a poly out of the air while we are under Ice/Fire stage

Can no longer flop too Ice stage via Freeze ?? what the fuck is this shit.

Um no I have not kept my spot any of the dozen or so times I had 2002 happen. I always vault back to 4144. The closest I got today was down to 1232 before I got the 2002 boot.

edited: And like clockwork 2002 boot...

It depends on how fast you get back on. The auth token that loads you into the queue expires after a pretty short period; if you get 2002'd and log right back in, you keep your spot. If you wait a minute or two you lose it and have to start fresh.

Multiple in my FC confirm the behavior; either we're extreme outliers for anecdotal evidence or it's a pretty basic auth token that has probably a 60s TTL.

Either way, the chip shortage is real and it's impacting all kinds of shit. I'm not surprised a game company is having problems; my company is multi-billion and we have several month queues up for deliverables from Dell, which has one of if not the best current supply chain for chips for building server hardware. Like they literally scramble and try to just grab shit fresh off the conveyor from every factory to try and fulfill orders. Not sure what they use now, but SE was a Dell shop for at least all of FF11 release (Partner company literally got dozens of R610s from SE when they upgraded years back during an ITAD deal; labeled Vanadiel - #)

Not excusing them, but the game got stupid popular in a short period of time, and that period of time has some major supply chain issues along with chip production not to mention the pandemic. It was going to be a disaster without pushing it back for 6-8 months no matter what happened.
