Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Those 2 things are the main thing that can wipe a raid, if youre getting it that low its just a matter of repetition. Make sure they are managing the spiny plumes, steel cyclone hits the entire raid for like 3k which throws healers way off. I know our other group who killed it healed through it but there is no need.

It's a surprisingly easy and smooth fight when you control that. It's a pain for your tanks because they'll be on the other sides of the map but that's what CDs are for. You should only get 2 add phases anyway at the end so they can pop CDs + sprint and grab the spiny's.

Extreme modes seem like they were designed to be anti-sellable. Groups will simply mandate the buyer dies immediately instead of trying to stay alive and retardedly killing the spiny, screwing up the titan gaols, etc

I would love if they add the ability to make a comment next to a commendation for a player. could be like +/-nets here that way. It seems like they could implement that easily enough.

There are 5 achievements based on commendations, each one rewarding you with something. The last one (500) is apparently a gold magitek mount.

Is that why the super easy guildhests had like no queue? People just blitzing through for commendations?

Well that and the fact that guildhests are part of the daily roulettes now. People are doing them for the tomes/xp.

lol i didnt even realize there were awards for commendations, thought it was just some flavor thing. yea people will probably negs just to fuck others over then, if it was possible.

Does this game still have old school combat? Tab target, hotbars, 2.5s GCD etc? I assume nothing major has changed.

So I get back from vacation on the 24th. How goes Gilgamesh grouping?

Is Allagan better than the crafted PvP gear for PvP? People are saying the crafted is better even though it's got half the stats... Morale must be really strong.

Its most likely for the materia slots to put in sleep and heavy redux. Moral is good for pvp damage as well.


As for Gilgamesh, there is alot of people running shit. The FC has basically two static groups plus some casual folks that do coil and other things in pugs.

Well, technically monks don't have a 2.5 second CD when Greased Lightning is in place. Presumably if a Haste spell is ever introduced this will have the same impact.

Haste is already in, its on selene. Doesnt change much of anything as long as its only for short periods of time. You'll only burn through your resource faster.
