Uhhhh what quests though, leves? Already did lots of the side quests so I know I'm going to run out early.

Also what's a hunt, never heard of them.

Kill mobs for um allied/centrino seals. Gotta get 2nd LT rank with your grand company to unlock. When you see people in chat saing A-RANK etc.. its to call out hunt mobs.

Only done Susano ex so far but it seems a far cry from the difficulty level of Thordan or sephirot, just way way fewer mechanics to learn. Was still painful but got it done pretty quickly in pf where as those other fights took days early on. My only beef with Susano is if you get that debufff where u can't move, but then also get targeted with the split dmg aoe. Seems like just a shit rng combination which is a bum way to add difficulty

Yes, fairly standard, same as how Fringes was locked behind 67 or 68 or whatever it was.

I cleared that just now too, hadn't bothered with either EX primals until today, figured I'd give it a try since my FC was doing a clear night so I hoped in some automatchmaking DF shit, was terrible as expected but I got to see the fight. Then my FC grp started 30mins early and filled up so I ended up looking at PF, took a couple of tries to find a "clear for a friend" party that wasn't actually complete garbage and cleared it.

There are a few shit combinations yeah, especially with churning. The thing with churning is you only get a very small amount of time where you can't move, but it's hard to gauge accurately. If you sprint you can make it though usually. The amount of people who don't sprint even though it's free nowadays is crazy, shit even back before I sometimes would sprint on my monk on some fights and then just use purification to fix it, and I sure as fucked sprint everywhere when I was playing casters.

I guess they didn't want to make the entry primals too hard. They also didn't gate them weirdly like they did with HW, especially with how Bismark gear was instantly garbage because of Ravana dropping the same items but higher ilvl. Menagerie EX might end up some massive fuckery though.

So what's the best way to level a second dps job 60-70, potd?
My advice is as a tank and healer, grind the highest level dungeon until rested is gone, use the daily roulette on dps jobs, or find a tank and healer friend to grind with. It takes 4 days to get max rested. Past level 60 avoid POTD completely looking at a huge grind if you continue with it. Its great for 1-60 but past that its horrible exp per minute spent. For 60-61 try Gubal Library runs at 1.2m exp per run or so.

This is currently what I'm doing for second jobs:

Day 1: Leveling/Trial Roulette + Gubal library runs to 61. Level 61 dungeon (3 or 4) runs to 62.
Day 2: Leveling/Trail Roulette + some misc (frontlines/hunts/challenge log)
Day 3: Leveling/Trial Roulette. Level 63 dungeon to 64.
Day 4: Leveling/Trial Roulette + some misc.
Day 5: Leveling/Trial Roulette. Level 65 dungeon to 66
Day 6: Leveling/Trial Roulette + some misc.
Day 7: Leveling/Trial Roulette. Level 67 dungeon to 68
Day 8: Leveling/Trial Roulette + some misc
Day 9: Leveling Trial Roulette
Day 10: Leveling Trial Roulette. Level 69 dungeon to 70.

I leveled all three tanks and healers fairly rapidly after release, then I have been using the above lazy method for the dps jobs. I'll finish my 9th Job next week.

Unfortunately the NA community complained so hard about the current Royal Menagerie that Yoship has already said he will be toning down the Extreme Version of it. The good news is that he also stated that Savage: Omega will be harder than Savage: Creator from heavensward but not as hard as Gordias was. They are also adding 1 special fight that is beyond savage mode for the really hardcore statics to try and beat.

So I guess I didn't realize the roulettes have a daily, can you do one of each for a big bonus or are only some rewarding them assuming you don't qualify for the role bonus?

Each of three level 70 dungeons can be done from duty finder at any time for 80 verity tombstones as many times as you like. Each day you get bonus Gil and bonus tomestones queueing for roulette. You can additionally get a bonus when one person in your random group is completing it for the first time.

You can also get a daily bonus for 50/60 dungeons and the catch all "leveling".

You get a bonus the first time each day you do each of the roulettes. For all except frontline you get exp and gil.

The most efficient ones for leveling are the leveling roulette and the trial roulette. I don't use the 50/60 roulette because it has a higher chance to eat into your rested experience which is better used for max level dungeons during chain bonus. The chain bonus was explained by someone earlier in the thread. All of Stormblood dungeons are odd levels (61,63,65,67,69 etc) so they grant the chain bonus when your character matches those levels. Sometimes I'll do the Main story roulette if I am bored. If you haven't gotten the daily bonus, there will be an animated up arrow in the duty window. For the leveling roulette the experience you gain from the bonus depends on the instance level, the difference between your level and the dungeon you are doing, and the length of the dungeon basically. Ideally you'll want a lower level dungeon, where you aren't eating into rested experience but gain a much larger bonus at the end for not getting much kill experience. Trials are usually the worst to get in the leveling roulette pool, but still can serve some use if you need less than 1m exp, or are crunched for time.

The way the dungeons for the two expansions are designed, on odd levels you get a chain bonus which is worth a lot of extra experience but you do not get this bonus for even levels. So when you unlock a new dungeon run it 3 times for a full level. On even levels do MSQ, Leveling Roulette, and Trial roulette. Do sidequests/fates if waiting in queue. The 50/60 roulette isn't worth the time investment really unless you're just really sick of doing other methods. Abusing the chain bonus is the key to leveling fast as it allows for more MSQ experience on even levels. Here is some of the math and the strategy I used to be first day 70 on launch day, under 20 hours.

MSQ Experience Gained/Exp needed to level:
60-61: 3,682,000/4,873,000
61-62: 2,457,000/5,316,000
62-63: 2,019,600/5,809,000
63-64: 1,533,600/6,364,000
64-65: 1,998,000/6,995,000
65-66: 2,079,000/7,722,000
66-67: 2,116,000/8,575,000
67-68: 3,585,600/9,593,000
68-69: 2,322,000/10,826,000
69-70: 1,922,400/12,310,000

Suggested Method: (Non MSQ-Roullete methods in order of efficiency, Highest level dungeon/frontlines/potd 51-60/SB hunt quests/fates/HW Beast Tribe quests/sidequests.)
60-61: Do the main story quests, and then you'll get the remaining 1.2 million from Leveling and trial roulette.
61-62: Do the first dungeon, 3-4 runs maximum for a full level. Use challenge log experience here if possible.
62-63: Do the 61 and 62 MSQ chains, you'll have 1.3m experience left at worst.
63-64: Unlock the optional dungeon in Ruby Sea and do 3-4 runs for a full level.
64-65: Do the 63 and 64 MSQ chains, you will have 3.46m to make up at worst. Use the list from above for efficiency, use roullete(s) if they have reset.
65-66: Do the level 65 dungeon 3-4 times for a full level.
66-67: Do the level 65 and 66 quests, you will have 4.28m to make up at worst.
67-68: Do the level 67 dungeon 3-4 times for a full level.
68-69: Do the 67 and 68 MSQ chains, you will have 4.91m to make up for at worst.
69-70: Do the level 69 dungeon 3-4 times and ding 70. Do the MSQ quests between queues.

*If you are a tank or healer you can add the Main Story Roulette to the list of dailies.
**Only do sidequests if you have unlocked flying in the zone you are questing.

Also somehow this is off, my 69-70 is only 10,826,000 total exp so I think it's off by one.

Leveling roulette gives a ton of xp especially if you're lucky and get a SB dungeon. Other roulette bonus is kind of shit but it's a nice break, I usually do 50/60, if it's a 60dungeon it's ok xp, if it's 50 it's bad but generally fast anyway. I don't do trials cause too many annoying ones but it's fairly ok xp. Guildhests is shit, MSQ tends to be shit and often shit dungeons, expert obviously doesn't give xp, frontlines bonus is just 1000 seals but I do it cause a frontline is good xp and there's a weekly challenge for it.

When you make a PF group is it server only or data server?
PF is now dataserver, unless you specify it's world only.

It was off by one level copied data from 61-70 instead of 60-69. Edited that post to reflect the changes, should be accurate now thanks.
