Chanur are you looking for a full LMT build or just upper/lower?

man if you know me I always gotta have the best but after building my own I don’t even think lmt is worth the premium. I’d grab a ddm4v7 on sale for $1400 or so then swap out the furniture to my preference.

Ok money isn’t an issue then the next thing we go to is availability. How long are you willing to wait? I’ve had LMT in stock notifications since 2020 and only seen a few. Stuff like that is gonna be hard to source.

so on one hand there’s cool ambi shit out there like radian, str, etc that you’ll pay a bit of a premium on the upper/lower for. I don’t think that’s worth it and I’m skeptical of adding premium features to something that ain’t broken. If your patient then maybe noveske/LMT (like one year patient), otherwise maybe BCM, but I’d pick DD over that.

ok I’d probably do a Daniel defense upper/lower, cryptic coatings black BCG, maybe a Daniel defense barrel depending on your goal (what size barrel do you want?). For hand guard you get a lot of personal preference. Some people get their jollies off on DD RIS II because I think that’s what mil issues. If you don’t want to larp maybe you prefer a thinner profile hand guard, but wait, what about the increased heat that can come with it? Willing to invest in rail scales or something similar to mitigate? If you can come up with your preference for hand guard (keymod vs mlok etc), leaner profile, etc, then I can help navigate you to something.

The rest is all personal preference.. What furniture you want, what trigger (ok is probably get a geiselle but do you want 2 or 1 stage?). We can talk optics after you figure all that out.

Im sure Ignatius , Big Phoenix and other g forum bros can weigh in on this, especially hand guard once you figure out your goals. Ironically I really like my aero hand guard on my aero 300blk upper, slim profile is tits and I offset heat with rail scales. Is aero considered Gucci? No. Are they considered quality? Yes.
