Aloy is a likeable female protagonist in a modern game. Not defensive or hostile, she is more understanding, stoic and compassionate.
I think I commented earlier in the thread but the demo was enough to turn me off Forspoken because of how intolerable the main character (and bracelet)s banter was.
Yup, Aloy's game had a great story, and a character that despite being an OMG GIRL LEAD, you can relate with her reactions. You WANT to keep playing to see what's next, and to a lesser degree how she reacts to it.
I wouldn't want to watch a show with this main character though, why would I pay 70$ to play a game?
To be honest though, I'm impressed the broke the latest unwritten woke rule: Thou Shalt Not have criminals be a certain shade of color
