I got a rando call from some Atlanta number today. Some western asian sounding dudes were saying they were the IRS.
Called them back from the burner phone.
They asked a bunch of questions and I told them my name was William Wonka, gave them the last 4 digits of my social 3210,
and they said "Mr. Wonka, you are being sued by the IRS for $11,870."
I basically kept them on the phone for 30 minutes, put them on hold a lot while I went about my day, got on with the "senior supervisor, Smith Franco" to see if we could work out a payment plan instead of going to court.
I've left out a lot of details, but I said I could give them 100 today.
"Only $100?"
"100 bars."
"100 gold bars?"
"No, chocolate."
Long pause...
"I don't like chocolate."
"How about an everlasting gobstopper?"
"I don't like that either."
"What do you like"
"You fucking asshole."
I laughed my fucking ass off.
