Ah ok

I'm guessing PC gets all the Ultimate releases ? (that are on PC)
mostly.

info on it seems hard to pin down.
From what I can tell, Ultimate gets some in game perks occasionally.
And Ultimate gets a few xbox console exclusives occasionally.
And has the xbox cloud service. which allows cross play, as well as playing those xbox console exclusives on pc.

But yes, like 99% of Ultimate releases, are pc gamepass releases as well.

like outlaws. 1/12
mio 1/20
high on life 2 2/13

already out:
FF
brews and bastards
little nightmares EE

I don't see RE village or MLP on pc games pass, or coming soon.

spacemarine MC e is already there. as well as atomfall and lost in random.

I have no idea where people get these lists..

heres another. this one says RE village is coming 1/20 This one lists, "pc only, or Console only" if they are either.

More shit. So glad I’m not paying for this trash any longer. Laughing at Witcher 3 after being on sale for 9.99 for the ultimate edition for the last 7 years.

Finishing up KCD2 right now. Fantastic game so far; crazy immersive. That's a good get for GamePass.

All right, if they continue to release good shit on PC I might keep subbing to their PC gamepass once ultimate ends in 2027.

For those that don’t know the PC Game Pass is 16 bucks a month and if they keep adding stuff it’s definitely worth it. They have a lot of good console and pc exclusives on there.

I think I’ve turned my Xbox series x on twice in two years but I frequently use pc gamepass.

Yeah same - I am only playing Xbox right now because I had split fiction on it and a buddy and I are going through that coop game together - and there isn't play anywhere on it.

But my fucking God am I glad I went PC.

The Graphical differences between PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X games and my new rig are completely remarkable. I started in on Space Marines 2 on PC since it is now on Gamepass for PC and my ultimate Sub doesn't run out until August - Graphically on my PC hands down the best. Went to run it in performance mode on the Series X and it is fucking laughable how bad it is in comparison. Even shit like Little Nightmares 2 runs and looks tons better on my new Rig than on Series X and that's a fucking side scroller. Why I got suckered into console shit and just didn't keep up with Steam all this time pisses me off. Paying for step up upgrade bullshit, paying for live online play, paywalling graphical increases in next gen editions of games released 6 years ago and double charging for slider adjustments, my Fucking word I was an idiot.

I really hope Steam Machine eats these fuckers for lunch for all the paywalled monetization they have raped everyone with in the console world they have pretty much been successfully able to monetize under the guise and "PC gaming is hard" - which it definitely fucking isn't - but steam machine will now live in the living room in addition to those that want their own custom PC rigs.

Monetarily - I spent $2399 on a 7800X3D/5080/32gbram/2tb Drive. Today's Microcenter price for Powerspec - which somehow is unaffected by price hikes with Ram and M.2. Let's give it a 4 year lifespan. All games look and play incredibly better with many more options and an ability to play older games without having to pay for upgrades to newer versions and increase fidelity in settings - along with free multiplayer, friends comms and access to the steam library.

Now we have to put this in today's terms of value because before at least we had eneba gamecards and it was before massive subscription price hikes and console hikes on technically 8 year old electronics (6 years from launch) which is laughable.

Series X - $649.99
2tb Seagate Expansion drive non external: $259
4 Years of Gamepass Ultimate 12 month prepaid at $299 a year - $1196

$2399.00 PC gaming rig with top tier performance and easy plug and play into home theater setups via HDMI
$2104.99 Series X

Delta of $294.01.

Let's do the math. I got a top tier gaming rig which plays everything max at 4k settings between 80-150 Fps with graphical fidelity well beyond what a series X can offer.

Or - Today: A 6 year old console with components designed 8 years ago and a subscription required for online and party chat along with recycled games throughout a library where 95% of them are mediocre at best.

Where is your value and where did the console value go? This is how far the monetization and market conditioning has gone and the general gaming consumer doesn't even realize it.

Adding 4 years of game pass ultimate to the cost of the xbox along with an extra hd just to make them only $250 apart pretty much proves his point.

I like PC gamepass.

When I get bored I can always find a game there to entertain me for a bit. Really decent selection of quality (indie) games.

Before I would usually buy a game on steam, so this works out far cheaper.

Hmm, will I be ok with my 5090 / 9950X3d or should I just stick with consoles? :p

I bought KCD2 for PS5, wish I got it for PC though. I might check out Gamepass. I honestly assumed it would be way more than 16.50 a month. That's not bad. I RARELY play games more than once there are so damn many in my queue. Ownership is kind of pointless now unless you like physical copies.

Now do what I spent:
499 xbx
100 dollar/year ultimata
That's it.

Now do yours with current ram prices alone:
200 dollar for 32gb alone
+2000 dollar for the game machine with aal the other shite and gfx card
The same friggine 100 dollar/year for ultimate

Something something - saved 1500 dollars with an xbx.

Not seing your math? Didn't you just spend more money for better specs? Whooopdefriggindoo. Burp. Beer 'o clock.

Microsoft has decided that milking their customers rather than offering value is the path to success. Maybe so but when you let the mask slip and show the pure skull beneath, why should anyone treat you other than the absolute Leviathan that you are?

Break up and make them compete as smaller units without this 30% margin BS. Don't let China or Saudi soft-buy them through investments.

You would have a point had GPU not gone up to 29 a month which even before that we milked Xbox live conversions to stack. You can’t do that any longer. And trust me. I have seen the difference now between even the most rudimentary games. Played space marine 2 between series X and PC. It’s retarded how bad the series x version is in performance mode.

And now? Anyone who has a pulse will move to steam machine unless Microsoft’s drops paywalls. Which they won’t.

Moving forward, you will pay more in five years compared to purchasing a PC and you will also have a MUCH better experience.

Of course you can. Nobody with any sense at all pays 30 bucks a month for GPU. Right now it's ~$36 (Eneba) for a 6 mo. GP Essential key which converts to 72 days of ultimate. 5 keys for a year works out to roughly $15 a month.
