I did my part signing it. In Sweden at least I needed to confirm my identity with a secure system so signatures from here should all be legit.

They are afraid of false or invalid signatures.

I actually have a lot of clients who's businesses or approaches i don't agree with. Tribes, land trusts, cities requiring dei stuff or pushing eminent domain, etc.
Difference is you provide a service. Being a game designer is more akin to being an artist. The attitude you take with the people that consume your art reflect much more on you then somebody providing a service.

For the first time since release I did not renew PS+ yearly subscription. Major console slump besides a few exclusives and all things Atlus.

How do we not have any games out yet that are (somewhat) effectively using LLMs? Even if they're really limited in scope.

If you're talking about in-game dynamic content, the answer is cost. Tokens in high volume are expensive. Also, the tech is moving so fast that the feature set is borderline unstable over the timeline of game development.

damn. after the "we are doomed" video. a backlash sparked they hit the 1million signatures.

We don't have a ton of EU people, so pushing this heavy here didn't have a point.. but still just a reminder if you are in the EU. go sign. 1m isn't really enough as invalid voters might need to be culled.

I signed this very early.

feel free to repost in another subforum, i don't really open most of them anymore. LG 65" OLED C5 (latest 2025 model) + S80TR sound bar + free wallmount install for $1349+tax. crazy deal on an LG OLED TV. you can be an LG partner through id me (military vet, medical/firefighter/cop, teacher, etc) or even simply by having a hulu sub lol

I understand the impetus, but asking the EU for additional regulations feels like inviting a vampire into your house.
I was mostly unaware of the specifics but read through a giant reddit thread about it yesterday and decided that no one discussing it had any idea of the specifics either.
So here's the ask from the petition. Feel free to point out if I'm misunderstanding.

Either software, pixels, and db entries are property or they aren't. If they aren't, then this doesn't appear to apply. If the EU decides that they are, doesn't that essentially upend the entire software industry and the concept of licenses? It make make sense in concept, but it would mean a massive shift in how modern games are made (and software too, unless they don't mind being super inconsistent).
