Is this really where the forums are at now? People cosplaying as gaming hipsters and pretending BG3 was just "mid" instead of obviously being the best CRPG in the last 20 years? Cool. No wonder so many of you sound permanently miserable - you must be a riot at parties.

"Hey guys, did you hear about this breakthrough that could cure cancer?"
"Meh. Overrated."

"Hey, have you seen that new movie that's supposed to be incredible in IMAX?"
"Movies are trash. I'm too cool to enjoy things."

Hits every good game. Cynicism is ratched to 11. Fun must be squashed.

Huh? You must have done something or said something wrong, because it's pretty easy to get the "we live together in a cabin in the woods" relationship ending.

Also I am seeing a recurring theme - people murdering characters then complaining about not getting into the game. You're literally killing content lol. Astarion alone has a massive amount of content tied to him.
In my first playthrough I staked/killed Asterion when he tried to bite me and it's all still available to do. You just meet the Vampire hunters as a third party and they tell you do go save the people.

I also let Wyll die because I refused to help his demon master in Act 2. I don't think it changed much of anything outside of some extra dialog.

Letting Gale die in the portal skips the most I found when doing Dark Urge, but that game bugged out in act 2 after a patch, so never got to act 3 to see if there was anything with Mystra. I don't remember seeing Elminster, but that playthrough was a long time ago.

Hey consoomer, don’t get your panties all wadded just because some folks didn’t glorify your favorite game. I don’t think anyone claimed it was “mid.” It’ll be ok man, people can have their own experiences.

Didn't Larian tone down the gayness some time after launch because people complained about it? Problem is "mostly" fixed if you play it solo, kill off numerous potential party members or shut it all down in dialog early on (maybe that's what they changed). Of course that cuts off a lot of content, but you can kill Astarion first time you meet and stuff his body in a backpack and leave him at camp and rez him in act 3 for Cazador.

You will have a very bad day if you try that with Gale the wizard. Yes I figured if it worked with one why not another. Boom the orb goes if you leave him dead for a few days. Game over.

I don't recall why but the wizard that had to eat magic items got mad and left my party. I had everyone else at the end. Only played it all way thru 1 time.
For me it was a 10/10 game. EDIT : Also I finished it.

I loved BG3,.maybe you guys just don't like CRPGs.

I'd be curious what % of players actually beat it. My only complaint was the levelling was so poorly paced that you have to do the entirety of act 3, which is the majority of the game if you allow it, at max level so essentially 'for free'. I just didn't use the companions I didn't like??
23.5% of all players have the “All’s Well that Ends Well” achievement on Steam. Looks like similar on PS5 at like 24.5%. Didn’t see Xbox in the 10 seconds I spent checking. Take those numbers as you will.

He only eats 3 items and you get a large number of junk ones. I'm not saying you are complaining about that, and he is annoying. But I've seen people complain about having to give up an item. Right off you can get a magic item that cast dancing lights. Problem solved.

I haven't looked at achievements in a while but last I did a large percentage never left act one.

This is a weird statistic. What % of games on steam released this year compared to previous years…5-7%? It’s not surprising at all that there’s more overall time spent in a much larger pool of games.

Search says steam had 19,230 games released in 2025. No idea when the cutoff date was. 239.000 total games on steam.

Yeah the item thing I was worried was going to be a bigger part of his story than it was. It was really just for some lolore, but it had a minor impact really. The amount of magic items you get in that game starts getting crazy in act2 and 3

yes and no, at launch the code or whatever that calculated how much some one liked you was done wrong. so you would immdiately advance to they "lets fuck" stage of the relationship before you even had a relationship. it was exacerbated by the fact that the faggoty relationships especially used normal sounding questions as indications of you wanting to get cornholed.

So for example the black warlock man was like "hey how's it going". then later was like "hey i think i could teach you some magic". I was polite like "ahh cool." then he woke me up in the night in his sexyman clothes ready to do a faggoty dance for me. i had to be like "the hell? go back to sleep you fruit".

apparently the faggot mating dance wasn't meant to be a thing you get till after you had gone through stages of interaction and much of his personal dialogue. instead he just lept strait to it like the third time i talked to him.

all the characters were like that at launch . ready to fuck VERY early. and as it turns out it was more jarring when the men did it because: who wants that shit. I thinke laezel's "i want to fuck you" was her trying to kill you in the night.

Would also like to see what percent it was for previous years
