So, ELI5 what is the state of the MMO market and is there anything promising coming out in the next two to three years I should keep an eye on?

What do you guys think is the best PVP MMO prospect on the horizon? I've tried Crowfall, can't say I'm a fan. The combat system felt really clunky, but I haven't played since the new update. It probably feels better now, but the TTK seemed absurdly long...and ability usage often times felt meaningless.

Camelot Unchained went a direction I'm not sure I like. Dunno if it will be good or not. Will have to wait and see. Anyone test it yet?

I'm constantly on the search for a new MMO as the release time of a new MMO or expansion is typically a lot of fun with lots of people coming back. I just haven't been interested in any of the ones recently released.

I envy the dudes that can just stick with one and have fun, regardless of who keeps playing.

I can definitely agree with that. When my guild left WoW, that was it for me. Couldn't be bothered to continue playing. What I perceived as the decline of WoW also helped, but still...probably would have kept playing.

Heard you were pretty bad at WoW and no one would carry you after your guild quit

I'm still into WoW as I have friends still playing, and one of them just RAF'ed me so I could get a Druid up to snuff. But what's kind of happened is that I play based on when friends are playing, not really play by myself. Friend that RAF'ed me is playing? Ok play that toon. Another friend is playing over on Alliance, ok play those toons. I suspect this will change when I hit level 90+ and the RAF bonus goes away, but we'll see.

MMORPG's are dead.

You can thank the aforementioned idiots I blasted apart for 10 years to the point that Ut's F16 doesn't even care any longer.
