Everyone is different, but it's just so odd to me with how light-hearted he was until then.

What's interesting about that is a story the Kenosha County DA Mike Graveley used to tell about how he landed his first job in the county. A lawyer in the closing arguments of a case started in how the defendant was guilty because he never took the stand to defend himself. Boom, instant mistrial, the attorney who got the job ahead of Mike gets canned and Mike gets a call. Graveley has been in the county for a long ass time now and he's been elected to the top DA slot. He has to have told that story a zillion times. There's no way the prosecutors here haven't heard it and here they go talking about the defendant remaining silent.
