Remember Ahmad Arbery trial in GA is going on in parallel to this. But those guys are extra boned.

According to Nate the Lawyer and others who are following it daily, this may not be the case.

It looked bad after the state's opening, but a lot of stuff has come out that mitigates what was said.

If I recall correctly 1) the homeowner was forced to admit on cross that Arbery was a sketchy figure and he was definitely concerned about his presence there, 2) he had given a neighbor permission to watch over the property for Arbery, 3) the police had been called about Arbery and had told the neighbor that he was potentially armed and dangers, 4) the police had either implicitly or overtly stated that Arbery was a threat to more than just the house.

Who knows, but it doesn't look as cut and dry as it appeared after the opening statements.

With how much this piece of shit focused on the AR-15 and constantly took it out to POINT IT at the Jury, the defense not getting a firearms/ballistics expert is complete idiocy.

So with Binger being so brazen with filling in holes with his own opinions, and changing what witnesses said (like Gauge didnt point the gun at Kyle), are these grounds for overthrowing the verdict in appeals should Kyle end up with any guilty verdict? Or grounds for a mistrial and dismissal? Could the judge factor this in and override a guilty verdict? Or is it par for the course and the only way to counter it is with objections?

Hearts and minds was always weak bullshit. We don't want hearts and minds; we want fear and compliance.

Hearts and minds are what you need when you plan a long term occupation.

Given how well they are covering up Sleepy Joe's slide into dementia, I would say yes, GW could very easily have been a mouth breathing retard. Probably still is.

They can't not cover it. It's literally on display every time he makes a public appearance.

Have any right leaning citizen militia members been killed in BLM riots?

Yes

Only unarmed ones though.

Edit: Well, hold up, the guy in Portland might have had a weapon on him, IDK. I believe he was shot from behind so it doesn't matter.

One of them had pepper spray. So technically we have at least one armed and one unarmed right winger being killed in the riots. Don't undersell the many counter protestors who were beaten nearly to death either.

I was thinking about this too, if its a hung jury (god help us at least some people have to vote not guilty), the judge could overrule and dismiss it with prejudice, however unlikely?

Them repeating this trial again would be just as much a sham and serve no purpose

So did the jury get manipulated into thinking "That boy shouldn't have been walking around with a gun, starting trouble!" instead of looking at the legal aspects of the entire case?

as far as why the defense isn't objecting, they did object to a couple things in the beginning (minor points) and the judge cut him off pretty quickly saying he could address it in his closing. so i think he's gunshy about making objections now even when he has strong legal precedence to do so. he basically wasted the few objections he could have made on silly things that just immediately got forgotten.

Additionally what they said on the stream made sense -- if you object too much then the jury will start questioning why you're not objecting to other things and assume things you don't object to are true.
