I'm surprised that it seems most of you are okay with the Winterfell/LF storyline. Personally, I thought it was poorly setup and very gimmicky. Are we to believe Sansa and Arya were in cahoots or that Sansa suddenly just figured it out after LF's last chat? Either way it feels stupid and without much believable setup . The Red Wedding was something you didn't see coming exactly, but you saw all the previous actions that set it up perfectly. The final LF scene itself was pretty well done overall, though.
it was clearly set up. sansa has stated she does NOT trust LF. she saw him literally murder her aunt. he sold her to ramsay for power. she knows this. why would you think she would work with him to kill her own sister? she isnt the one seeking power. LF is/was. this was so obvious it was stupid obvious. his story had lost traction, there was no longer any ongoing plots he had going. he was just chilling out at winterfell doing dumb shit.

The episode also i think cements the idea that cersei is gonna die by her unborn dwarf child, aka her valonquar. Lotta talk about family and deaths inside the lannisters.

I loved the necromancer guy scampering around the wight, you could just see the gears turning in his head thinking "... HOW THE FUCK DO I DO THIS"

also poor Ser Friend Zone, King of the Just Friends, and Protector of You Are Like a Brother to me

Can't believe they left us with a year of bitching about traveling times.

For 90 minutes, I feel like not much happened. Too much shit with Cersei (although Tyrion's scene was good), and Theon's redemption arc.

Really, Littlefinger's death (wasted character), the Wall falling, a 6 year too late reveal of Jon Snow (Aegon wtf? Please explain the book, GRRM), and Jamie finally getting his redemption arc about 4 seasons late.

As a viewer it's obvious LF has no point and that Sansa shouldn't trust him. But this season, what you see on the screen is this episode and last episode going to LF for advice (and last episode and before being all weirded out by and afraid of Arya). You don't actually see her ever figuring things out except maybe that brief little scene this episode where she's atop Winterfell looking out all glumly. It's just, wow, I guess Sansa finally decided to wake the fuck up. Just because it makes sense that she does doesn't mean it was written and shown in a way that setup the way it turned out.

It was cheap writing.

I dont even know how to feel about this finale.

20-25 minutes of Theon exposition and screen time? Really? "Jon Im such a pussy, lol. Jon: Its ok bud, just stop being a pussy around here, i forgive you." Now he has regained his purpose and must save his sister. But not before fighting cocky Iron Island dude, and winning, because he doesnt have a cock. Outstanding.

First half of the show felt like a complete fucking waste of time. It almost made the entire lets go north of the wall to capture a wight thing WORSE. They showed Cersei the zombie and she told Jamie basically "I looked at that creature and have never felt more dead. Thats when I knew that everything was just done in vain.....BUT I am pregnant, and Im hoping my child will end up ruling Westeros....well whats left of it anyway!" What the fuck? Im sorry but that whole ordeal was painful. Tyrion goes into the lions den to convince his dear sister to come back to.....give her a chance to lie and betray instead of outright denying their proposal to begin with? Wut.

Then she was going to have Jamie KILLED? Are you fucking kidding me? Of course he called her bluff, she was just supposedly still in love with him like 2 episodes ago and now she is ready to see him dead because he talked to Tyrion, who never even killed Joff. The writing is really like a meme now. You want a good show, but you need the bad writing. I guess so!

The most satisfying points were Bran and Sam, and actually getting to see Rheagar on screen. Also, NK has god tier creature magic,as his ice dragon was topped out at 15,657 mana with all of his legendary items equipped. Holy shit was thing thing breathing a ton of fucking ice fire. It looked like a welding arc at one point just non stop blasting of flame. The the ice dragon is even more powerful as I feel like Drogon couldnt keep his fire attack going for that amount of time without running out of mana.

Ofcouse she wasn't going to have Jamie killed. She is like the phycho ex we all have had..."If you leave me ill kill you blah blah blah" She has the means but he manned up and said fuck that.

I actually predicted Jamie would switch sides (abandon Cersei) before this episode a couple days ago.

Good for him. We have too many wasted characters at this point, Jamie CANNOT be one.

Poor Bronn. Always getting left behind by a Lannister.

This was the part I hated the most. Bronn can't be Bronn with Cersei; if he didn't ride north with Jaime then that doesn't bode well for his airtime next season.

After my initial thought of "fuck yes, finally!" at Littlefinger's death, I couldn't help but think how inconsiderate that showy execution was for the Winterfell servant staff. Littlefinger bled out all over the floor, and that shit is cobblestones. Blood is going to seep down into the crevices and be a real bitch to scrub out.

Scrubbing the stains out of anything is something the common folk of Westeros know how to do from the day they were born. "Only 2 nobles were brutally murdered in their beds by an assassin last night. I'll have these sheets washed and put back on before lunch. Guess I'll be taking the rest of the day off!

I don't know why but I get triggered when people write 'Jamie', it's Jaime.

Episode was ok, but there was way too much filler.

Why the fuck do I care if theon rescues his sister? I guess they need to tie up the iron island arc, but really it should've just died tonight.

Are we allowed to spread the joy knowing the hound just confirmed cleganebowl 2018?!!!!

I guess they felt the need to be really heavy handed with the Jon heritage reveal. Someone somewhere must've been laughing their asses off writing "ok, say it right on top of them fucking on screen."

Little fingers death was great to me. His smug little crooked faced smile, only to be shut down. I loved that he begged like a bitch right before he went.

Wight Dragon taking down the wall was badass. I watched the inside the episode and they said for years they've known that's how the penultimate season would end. Makes me wonder if George told them early on about that shit.

Overall I'm hyped for the last season

Yeah, kinda how I feel.

Way too much talking, not enough action. Some of the plot threads are nonsensical. The whole North of the Wall adventure is rendered pointless. Winterfell shit was kinda contrived. No good battles/action sequences. I wish that they saved a Loot Train battle level sequence to end the finale on. Viserion melting the wall was kinda underwhelming.

That entire arc should have ended tonight and Theon should have taken the black in front of Jon. That would have been a way better redemption arc.

So who thinks the NK will say F the road which leads to Winterfell and really out of the way for someone with a army that doesn't eat, get tired or cold and just march straight south to that as mentioned several times this episode, 1 million man goal?
