Congrats on your Emmy Mr. Dinklage.

edit: And if I see one person suggest that Oberyon will be Tyrion's champion in the non-spoiler thread, I expect to see Tuco's Ice rain heavily down. There's no way to predict that shit

Yeah judging solely from the show there is no reason not to buy that Oberyn has been won over by Tywin.

I love that thread. The genuine folks who haven't read the books reaffirm for me constantly just how good the show is. Reading how Tywin might fight Tyrion himself, or how Jaime might be forced to take sides is exactly what the TV writers what them to be thinking.

In a lot of ways I think the TV show has become it's own entity and is equally as good as the books. Sometimes better, sometimes worse, but it's constantly finding new ways to be unique and not just a new medium for telling the exact same story.

first the bad, that shit with theon was so fucking stupid. i got a serious Monty Python vibe from that . RUN AWAY! RUN AWAAAY!

the good. Tyrion continues to be the best part of this show. Tywin is also excellent and will miss him after he is dead. so what was Oberyn doing in Essos? making the wedding deal with Visery?
the scene with the dragon was cool, not sure if the dead kid will be shown or will it be off screen. looks like they used up all their dragon footage for the season.

Are episode titles considered spoilers given how accessible they are? Because the one titled the Mountain and the Viper is a pretty huge hint.

Yes she was:

Shortly after the release of Head-On, it became known Kekilli had previously acted in pornographic films under the stage name "Dilara". This report, as published by the German tabloid newspaper Bild-Zeitung, led to a public sensation, and Kekilli's parents broke off all contact with her. She received the 2004 Bambi prize for "best shooting star" for her role in Head-On. During the televised acceptance speech, she tearfully complained about the "dirty smear campaign" and "media rape" against her. Bild-Zeitung was later reprimanded by the German Press Council (Deutscher Presserat) for the manner in which it covered the story.

Yes but he also made an explicit deal with Tywin to get to kill the Mountain, so the title doesn't spoil who gets chosen for the trial.

^^ Hee Hee, yes she was a porn star under the name Dilara.

I just found that out on the weekend myself. She had a different nose back then. She did a bunch ( 12 or so ) back in her home country of Germany, well her family is originally from Turkey. She's a brave girl to sign up for porn in Germany.

I found a thread on a porn forum and the strange thing was it was a weird experience. There's posts of images and some are pictures of her now, at some event of Film festival looking all glamorous on the red carpet, some of the images are her modeling or showing her acting portfolio images and then in the same mix are screen grabs of her being done anal or taking a facial cumshot.

All this mix in the same group of images it was weird.

Shae is such a cunt at the end of last night's episode. It absolutely screams "woman scorn". I've liked her in the past because she was good for Tyrion, but I want her to die after she tried sentencing him to his own death. Fuck her.

The scenes with Theon and his sister were a bit odd, but it did a good job of showing just how far gone Theon is. I think that was the main point.

This episode went by so quickly.

Someone after last week's mentioned the Mountain fighting Oberyn based on a clip from a preview/trailer type thing.

It was odd that she didn't either kill him, or kill Ramsey.

Couldn't have been written like that. She just stands there with 5 of her men looking like a dumbfuck while Ramsey is naked all alone unlocking the kennels? That was one of the more hollywood scenes in this show that I remember.

Agreed. Ramsey letting them escape made 0 sense. That said, I had just watched Lethal Weapon 2 on Sunday morning, so my senses were very dulled to unbelievable things happening.

Yeah out of everything so far that scene has to be the worst thought out and produced one to date. Almost none of it made sense and seemed completely throw away to just remind us she was around. And lol at the Monty Python, "Run away!" It really was that bad.
