I thought in the first season when Robert and Ned are travelling to Kings Landing they stop for a picnic and Robert asks Ned about his bastard and who the mother is, why would he ask if it's his?

Killed at Winterfell and rez'd?
I don't think she'll be killed at all actually. I just think something's going to snap in her and she's going to have a band of northern people wipe out everyone in Winterfell and start taking everyone else out. Show's going to end with Brienne walking up to the tree to be hung.

Edit-I just glanced at your post before, now that I read it, I'd say that way he has the glory of actually killing the last man in combat.
I bet he doesnt want glory now

I was mostly joking anyway, the gladiator scene was great.

Well in that same episode he says he can't remember the face of the woman he claims to love so maybe Bobby B's memory aint that hot.

I think they've hinted enough to make a pretty good guess he's the offspring of Robert and Ned's sister, but pre-marriage so Ned took the child and claimed it as his own. And is thus both a Baratheon, a Stark and the rightful King. (And that's a damn powerful combo in westeros) Just like the blacksmith bastard she wanted to use his kings blood power to make a shadow demon or something else.
From the non-spoiler thread, made me laugh. I mean I guess in the TV series it isn't spelled out as clearly as in the books, but this is like one of the few theories that is absolutely impossible. Although I suppose Robert's Rebellion could have been shorter in the series, but Lyanna was 'kidnapped' by Rhaegar for over a year before the end of Robert's Rebellion in the books, so there is absolutely no way the child could be his with Lyanna.

But yeah people are definitely picking up on the foreshadowing that Jon Snow is Lyanna's son.

I think for the most part the Unsullied sucking are a product of poor shooting/lack of extras.

They want to convey an overwhelming press of people, like thousands, attacking a relative few. Mereen has about 200,000 - 500,000 people living inside and about 1,000 unsullied. Constant human wave attacks will overwhelm any force. The attacks were meant to be overwhelming numbers, but the shots were kinda crappy imo.

Think of a small arena like that, holds about 20,000 people. Now lets say 10% of them come in armed with knives and murderous intent and willing to die. That would be chaotic and insane and would overwhelm any security force with just the anarchy. They shot that scene with about 200 people at most. You simply cannot convey what it should have been visually. But you know... budgets.

Robert could not know.

The more compelling reason this isn't the case is why is Ned going on a frantic search for bastards when he knows exactly where Bobby B's firstborn is.

A case for why Jon Snow is in fact exactly who Ned says is that why would he lie to Caitlyn for a decade and let that kid grow up hated by his mother.

They led a rebellion to Kings Landing where Ned's sister was killed right? How the fuck could a corpse give birth to a child 9 months later? Unless I am missing something, which is entirely possible, this is the stupidest fucking thing I have read in this thread.

Well to start with your timeline and facts are completely fucked. Ned's brother and father were killed in KL, burned by the Mad King, his sister was not.

The theory obviously assumes Robert knocked Lyanna up BEFORE Rhaegar kidnapped her.

Because he wants to protect his sister's child from people who might hate him, since he might have a legitimate claim to the throne. Nobody can know, because then it would put them in danger as well.

Let's not post fan theories in the no-spoiler thread

Yeah I mean when people post shit like:

Because he wants to protect his sister's child from people who might hate him, since he might have a legitimate claim to the throne. Nobody can know, because then it would put them in danger as well.

The other popular fan theory is that Jon Snow is Ned's sisters kid.... with Rhaegar Targaryen
They will get some idea

I'm gonna nuke that post

Why? Not only is that not the first time that theory has come up in that thread, it's not confirmed in the books so it's not a spoiler, AND I've had people who have only watched the TV series tell me the same thing, that they think Jon is the child of Lyanna and Rhaegar.

You mods are fucking idiots.

Really guys? It's not a spoiler. Nobody, even book readers, know if that's true.

And yes, I have never read the books. Not even one sentence.

It's OK to post theories if they are stupid but not OK to post them if they are plausible?
