I'm asking you what you think Cersei has to offer the FM that would get them to even acknowledge her. Widow's Wail is priceless, and I can't think of anything else like it within her grasp. I'm trying to find plausibility in your fucking dumb idea but you aren't helping.

the faceless men if they accepted a dragon egg may have only done so because it was more what they wanted over its intrinsic value. they may want land, women, men, children, royal jewelry or tapestries or whatever. its not a dumb idea to hire a FM to kill the HS considering the active plot to kill GM whatshisface in oldtown just to take his dragonbook.

Widow's Wail isn't even priceless in the books, assuming she was willing to go rob her son's grave to get it. Although if she did rob her son's grave to get it, maybe that act would make it priceless to the Faceless Men.
But Valyrian Steel in the books?
But Astr0 is assuming that the highborn of Westeros know that the Faceless Men are a weird death cult and not just the best assassins in the world and would be willing to take some kind of weird non-traditional payment.

I guess priceless is a vague enough word that it fits. Thousands of them may exist, but nobody is willing to part with one. I still don't think valyrian steel would be considered particularly valuable to the faceless men.
I was under the impression that they also based the price on who wanted the killing done. A penniless cheated family could get a very cheap price on having the Thin Man killed, but the price for the Queen Mother of Westeros to have the High Sparrow killed would be beyond reckoning. I imagine not even the Iron Bank of Braavos could pay that fee.

Which is exactly my point, no way in hell Cersei could even begin to afford it. Not to mention the fact that the FM seem to be very much "for the people" and may not even accept a contract on the HS in the first place.
