Just for the sake of argument, if they had GTA online hidden and you didn't know about it and then 15 days after the game came out they simultaneously patched AND told you about it, and it didn't work perfectly on day 1 (aka day 15), would you be this angry (aka butthurt)?

You're joking, right? FF11 - PlayStation2, X360. FF14 - PlayStation 3. Both immensely larger in scope than GTAO. GTAO is essentially a 16 player co-op mode and dick all else.

OH MY GOD THE VERY SECOND IT CAME ONLINE I COULDN"T LOG IN AND POOPSOCK MY WAY TO VICTORY THE WORLD IS ENDING TODAY is not a valid argument in any situation. Its just sad and pathetic.

Go play the main campaign again. I got halfway through and restarted so I could exploit all the assassination missions and I've had at least twice as much fun the second time through as the first.

It'll work when it works.

Added: One day I swear I'll strangle that fucking psychologist to death.

Dude asked me to do a phone session, then charged me more for it.

It's sad and pathetic that you don't respect consumer rights. Must be fun being a corporate toadie.

It was advertised as a feature, we bought it and we own it. It's property that we paid for and we haven't been able to use it for two weeks. You are just full of complete nonsense. I'm pretty sure it's 100% okay to be annoyed at Rockstar for being incompetent on the network side of things and selling us a defective product.

It is okay to say that they fucked up. We're not shouting for them to burn down, we're just saying "hey, you guys are retarded for not hiring competent network people and we find it obnoxious, hurry it the fuck up dudes". They deserve the criticism that we are giving them.

It's okay to be, like, very mildly annoyed. Like to the point where you say to yourself, "fuck, this kinda sucks, I was looking forward to trying this out. I'll check on it tomorrow." That was my reaction when I tried it for myself just now.

Your level of rage where you're screaming about what's on the box, consumer rights, and two weeks? Way off the deep end.

Its annoying. Its not a run to the internet to scream about how big business is raping my with the wide end of a rake situation. Its not like Rockstar is going to go "Fuck it, we can't get this working" and shut the fucking thing off and never turn it on. Just be patient. Deep breaths.

Alternately, don't play a game 16 hours a day and beat it before 99.99% of the general population and then get pissed off when the next round of content is delayed a few days.

Nobody cares. Almost everyone is still playing the single-player campaign and having a blast with it, just like all the previous iterations of GTA.

Considering that last time I checked you can't even patch the game--and people are still posting about it happening right now on other forums--without the console going to a black screen that requires holding down the power button for 15 seconds to hard reboot, or that the patch is fucking up single player savegames... yes.

I still have no idea why people white knight for corporations. Sometimes I swear it seems like we're only a few years fromJennifer Governmentbecoming reality.

Just because is isn't happening to you doesn't mean it isn't happening to a bunch of other people - it is, fyi. The patch is definitely screwing with single player games. So, people should be careful.

No one's white knighting shit. Its a fucking video game, its not worth contributing to your coronary arteries hardening by getting all stressed out.

Its fine to be frustrated, its not fine to sit there and allow yourself to get so worked up over you're calling people names on the internet because they dared ask you to take a chill pill, or tried to explain that Rockstar said there would be server and hardware issues to work through with the launch.

Consider this an open beta period.
