That's pretty much the only time we ever do it. If we have family or friends over for maybe a fish fry, it's always outside. I know I posted about doing those squash blossoms the other day, and that was just a shallow fry in the wok, but I still hate having a deal with oil and all that.
I've really been trying to figure out other alternatives to get fried stuff, and our little air fryer seems to be the ticket. It's not even a huge one, and we got it for free from a neighbor, but I'm surprised at what I'm not able to make with it. I'm really tempted to upgrade and get a heavy-duty one, just not really sure what direction to go.
I don't think I want the tray, definitely front door with a couple of racks or something.

it comes w/ 1 tray i bought another, but tbh, if youre doing it to "fry" the other tray hinders the frying, b/c the way airfryers are supposed to work well is to go up and thru the tray, but if you have another tray in the way, then that just takes the hot air power away.
