You can see your server at the character select screen.

I’m on Tarnished Coast.

You can transfer server every 7 days. Cost varies depending on population of destination server for 500, 1000 and 1800 gems for medium, high and very high. Most server are high or very high.

F that noise, I don't WvW so I don't think it matters for anything else. Aren't guilds even cross server now?

Yeah there is no point to which server you’re on unless you WvW. I’m pretty sure guilds are cross servers.

Server only matters for WvW. PvE and PvP is on the mega server. Guilds are cross server.

Last night the entire guild(all 4 of us) of Blipz n Chitz got together to do some fractals, we're just starting but it went pretty well, and I think everyone had fun.

Looking forward to more stuff with the rest of you guys.

On a personal note, finished the last piece of Ascended armor for my Engineer. Yay me!

I'm now pretty much broke, but I don't think I need gold for anything else really, so it's all good until I need to make ascended for my alts. :)

10/17/2017 - October 17 Release Notes
Living World
Halloween
Once again, the gates of the Mad Realm have opened and Kryta's most infamous monarch, Mad King Thorn, has returned to hold court in Lion's Arch! Loyal vassals of the king are strongly encouraged to enjoy the festivities: meet the denizens of the Mad Realm in events across Kryta, tour the Mad Realm itself in the Labyrinth and fearsome Clock Tower, attend to the king's whims in his notorious pastime of Mad King Says, or match wits and blades against royalty in Ascent to Madness. Completing sets of festival daily achievements will also earn progress toward displaying your holiday spirit in combat with the Haunted weapon set!

*Able-bodied adventurers are encouraged to meet with Magister Tassi of the Durmand Priory in Lion's Arch for an exciting research opportunity.

**The Lion's Arch Captain's Council wishes to remind its populace that they are not affiliated with the Krytan monarchy and cannot guarantee the safety of any citizens who choose to dabble in dangerous realms, mad or otherwise.

  • Halloween achievements have been split into 3 categories: Halloween Rituals for repeatable achievements, Shadow of the Mad King for one-time achievements related to Magister Tassi's investigation of the Mad King's past, and Lunatic Wardrobe for one-time achievements related to the Lunatic Court's fashion. These achievements are intended to return in future years, so don't worry if you find any of them daunting—you'll be able to continue them during a later Halloween celebration with this year's progress intact.
  • A Halloween Daily achievement category has been added to the daily group for festival daily achievements. Completing several of these achievements will earn players progress in the repeatable achievement Eve of the Mad King, which rewards weapons from the new Haunted set.
  • The Mad King's Lunatic Court has provided a series of armor refitted to proudly display a wearer's allegiance to their king. Earn your choice of armor through achievements in the Lunatic Wardrobe category, or purchase crafting recipes from Halloween vendors to update your look at your leisure.
  • A new race event has been added to the Mad King's Labyrinth. Visitors are encouraged to show their riding skills against a variety of local competitors and hostile vassals.
  • The Mad King's steward has been tasked with collecting back revenue for the king's treasury at the center of the Mad King's Labyrinth. Visitors can now temporarily commission a variety of helpful services for a small fee, including a merchant, bank access, and complimentary refreshments.
  • King Thorn has graciously deigned to allow gliding and mounts in his Labyrinth. Please do not glide, jump, float, teleport, or otherwise traverse over the maze walls in an attempt to cheat at the maze, damage the scenery, or harass the royal family—trespassers will be punished.
  • Lunatic Inquisition has returned, with a number of bug fixes.
  • New Halloween-themed guild decorations have been added. Note: spectral visitations and/or haunting are not covered under warranty.
  • New Halloween daily achievements have been added, and their rotation has been updated.
  • Event timing has been updated on the Halloween-door events in Kryta.
  • Rare new miniatures can be found in Halloween champion bags, by completing the Clock Tower, and from Halloween vendors.
Halloween will be active until November 7. Your Mad King says: Have a happy Halloween!

The event look interesting, this is the first time I'm actively playing GW2 during the Halloween event, I'm looking forward to it.

The spooky mounts skin are disappointing, mostly because they all look the same. At least it confirms something we knew...we'll be getting skins for mounts. Hopefully we'll get some cool stuff at some point. :)

The events are neat, Mad King Says is always good for a hoot, there is 5 man dungeon in there, and the jumping puzzle is probably the hardest in the game. I've been trying for years to finish that goddamn tower, I am not sure I have ever gotten to the end of it. I can crush the Xmas one but the Halloween tower...not so much.

And of course Labyrinth Farming, where all of your trick or treat bags come from...remember, 3k candy corn = 1 20 slot bag. So that is totally worth doing, those bags aren't unique either so you can load up on 'em.

Was hoping they would shake up the Halloween event this year but guess not. The Mad Kings Memories collection/lore quest should have never have been removed from previous seasons so I'm glad they brought that back for people who missed out. Needing at least 2 out of 3 armor crafting professions to finish the thing sucks though.

About 10g for a stack of ToT bags and 5g per corn cob so money can still be made.

Mindless Lab farming :/

I never really did any of the Halloween stuff so this is all interesting to me. This is also the first event in a game that they seemed to nail the atmosphere, it actually feels like Halloween.

Got a few skins, miniatures and grey "junk" loot last night that sold for 25g. Also, those bosses hit like a fucking truck in Lab.

Well it's more stuff to do, nothing is mandatory, so you're free to do as much or as little as you want which is nice.

As I said last night in game, I love the game...but I hate some of the boss fights where you're basically 1 shotted. There's many of this across the game which is annoying at times, there seemed to be a lot of it in the Labyrinth's boss fights which cut my level of enthusiasm about the place a bit.

On a different note, the PVE missions for the guild reset a few days ago, so we can look into those, more options for things to do.

Corn Cobs were up to 6g this morning, that shit is rising fast. I was wondering why my gw2efficiency value started jumping, it was all the candy corn lol.

Also I finally conquered the Clock Tower. Damn that was satisfying, that shit is a prick and a half.

The Wintersday and Halloween festivals are great. I waste a bunch of time in them every year. The activities are fun. And I love the jumping puzzles. They are really tough to learn though, possibly the hardest jumping puzzles in GW2. Wish they had more tough puzzles like that.

Guild Wars 1 had awesome festivals, glad they continued that.

There is apparently some strats to keep from getting one shotted by those bosses, it was way worse for use because there were like 3 of us fighting that ass rammer. It was much more tolerable with a larger group. One guy was trying to explain the strat during the fight but it was difficult to fight and read.
