Finally got my first Typhoon kill. I actually 1-shot him the first time i got to him, which surprised me. It was Prometheus that really hung me up for a long time. I stopped trying to memorize is flame walls and just dashed through the damage. So much easier and safer.

Death Defiance in this game is bad. The card that gives you -40% dmg received with no death defiance and then stacking health is absolutely the way to go.

My go to strategy for Typhon kills is hust stacking health and DPS. I dont even deal with his mechanics; just stand by him and attack. I do dash through the head slams.

Honestly, forcing the Zeus infusion that requires 5 air but sets minimum hit damage to 50 trivializes it so hard.

Got to the credits after 93 nights (runs). I am sure I could have done it much faster, but I made a rule for myself to take whichever weapon gave the Bones Bonus and to select any Boon that had not been selected yet for the prophecies. I also rotated through as many charms as I could to level and max them out. So I optimized for "completionist" rather than finishing the storyline asap.

Great game. I think it is a 9.5/10 for me, whereas Hades 1 was a perfect 10/10. My biggest hang up with Hades 2 is the weapons. They are ok, but I just found the Hades 1 weapons to be a bit more fun.

I couldn’t agree more about the weapons. Seems like the optimal play for the base models and early unlock models emphasize basically one move/attack that you spam the whole run. I remember Hades 1 have more diversity in gameplay.

I think the hammer really uniquely changed each weapon a lot more in Hades 1. It's what I miss the most

The higher fear I go the more I realize the power of deaths defiance over strength. You can really stack that shit up and there are some crazy interactions with other things like doom.

Strength is still amazing for getting your first few runs.

Rival fights are fucking insane. Forget about omega anything in those fights. If you stop moving for more then half a second you're dead

Beat Typhon first try after beating Prometheus on my fifth or so attempt with an absolutely broken Torches spec.
It took me like 40 nights to get my first Chronos kill. I've been playing like Fight has, instead of focusing on one weapon I've been switching to whatever the bonus is, and if I don't feel like its going well by the end of the first region I just start going for whatever will fulfill prophecies.

I really feel like this game has a best set of skills. I take Aphrodite Attack, Demeter Cast or Special, and then Posidon/Hermes for extra coin to buy more boons. Then, I fill it out with either a throwable Cast or a hammer boosted Special. Mix that in with a ton of life/death defiance and you basically cannot lose.
