Yes, I am feeling really good about it this morning. Hopefully that good feeling will be confirmed in 3 months with an MRI showing how recurrence.
Also, having done the cryoblation process twice, and seeing comparatively the recovery time versus laparoscopic procedures for similar cyst/mass issues (which

I hope you're able to get any major worries out of your head and keep moving forward. Guy I know had colon cancer removed and 2 weeks ago I asked him how long it took to get that feeling of dread out of his head. He's early 60's and said it bugged him for about a year, but he finally got past the worry after 3 scans showing they got it all.

Well, I had the first tumor removed back in the beginning of July. Then at the follow up scan for that we measured to verify and plan for Tumor number 2. At that follow up scan is showed that Tumor number 1 was no longer a thing on the radar, just splatter shadow of remaining dead tissue my body seems to be reabsorbing. Which gave me a good bit of confidence.
And unlike color cancer, this is a cancer known for being slow spreading, and often non-recurring once you remove a tumor. So your buddy definitely had a harder row to hoe. I'm just glad to have this behind me before the holidays, although the 3 month follow up scan will happen right before Xmas. So I anticipate a bit of anxiousness to creep back in around that time.
Right now honestly, I'm just enjoying that even though I was feeling no "symptoms" related to it, the stress relief of having it done has me feeling pretty great.

Hell I'm not sure you ever get it out of your head completely. I've had 2 years of clear scans and still every time I go in I'm like ' are they going to find something this time'. I 'know' they got it all but still.....................

I had to do multiple genetic screenings apparently to see if I was pre-disposed to cancers of this type because the doctors were all "Two masses, one on either kidney? Almost perfectly symmetrical? That just doesn't happen normally."

Not to make it about me but I'm starting to give up caring. My oncologist ran out on the practice (apparently) I have a fucking melanoma oncologist following my brain tumor?! and my PCP quit her practice so I'm trying to find a new one of those AND one of the pain medications I am on requires I have an EKG every 6 months and I'm up but since I don't have a PCP anymore I'm trying to get that through the hospital which means a sheet of graph paper is going to wind up costing me $1K. I didn't work my ass off to pay medical bills goddamnit.

Yeah, the Urology practice I have gone to... I've been through three Urologists now. Started with one, who handed me off to a different one who "handles the complicated situations and surgeries". That guy lined me up for the first Cryoablation, but he's Jewish so taking essentially half of August and half of September off on holiday to head to the homeland, so I get a THIRD urologist, who was confused as to why he was being brought in since we'd already locked in on Cryoablation for the second one. And the third guy caused me some mental confusion saying HE would have normally recommended robotically guided laparoscopy for this one. But when I asked why and what the advantages were over the other procedure he didn't have much in the way of a reason.
I think it was because he gets paid on the Laparoscopy since he does those, and an interventional radiologist gets paid on the Cryoablations.
I've had the same PCP for close to 15 years now, followed her from one practice to another. But now it's to the point she is never available or fully booked and I end up needing to see her PA if I am going to see anybody on a "soon" timeframe. Or do a teledoc visit with random internet Dr through my insurance. When

was having a lot of medical situations we did a concierge doc for her for a couple years. It was great, but seriously expensive.

Got a check from Blue Cross. Second one in two years. Not a ton but $1,000 or so give or take. It came with a note the reason would be explained in the letter you received separetly. I didn't get one last time and so far haven't this time and it's been 10 days. The first one went through. No idea on this one yet. Instills confidence in your insurer. I called and got transfer after transfer. They did send it that was acknowleged but why?
Scary part is I haven't had Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance since 2024. So I guess they just realized one day they were over charging me.

When my kids were young and going to the doctor a lot, I noticed billing at the pediatrician was whacky. I started keeping close track and found that it was regularly off and always in their favor. In some cases I was double billed. Ever since then I’ve kept a close eye on medical bills and sure enough they’re all retarded. I’ll pay a bill at the office, then get the same one in the mail two weeks later. Medical billing systems are full of retarded automations that just send stuff out without proper checks and balances.

Yeah, over the years I've gotten multiple checks from either insurance, or from a Dr's practice because of how they billed things that then turned out to be covered or whatever. The accounting reliability in that world is astoundingly bad, and most entities seem perfectly OK keeping the error in their pockets unless there's some legal auditing that exposes it.
